“If it was easy, anyone could do it.”

Nothing will teach respect for a great moderator more than trying to be one. It’s one of those things in life that looks easy, until you try it.

You did an outstanding job - thanks for your service sir.
Too much stuff to keep track of.

So....the obvious question is.....who's the new guy/gal we get to abuse ? I'm also wondering if this moderator job comes with a benefits package that includes psychiatric care....because the new person is gonna need it.

Other things Polk should consider when hiring a new moderator....

    Extended vacation time
    Free coffee
    A Bull Whip
    Free marriage counseling
    Free pharmaceuticals
    Punching dummy in the office
and....no sharp objects allowed in their office.

I'm amazed, Ken lasted as long as he did. :)

Ken's sleepin' in today... perusing the internet in his jammies whilst sipping his coffee, no doubt.

Ken has been amazing in CS and as a moderator here. I would not be as loyal a Polkie as I am without him. Thanks Ken.

    @KennethSwauger

I am just now seeing this. Thanks for everything over the years. I can definitely relate to wanting to step away from a management role.

I am glad you will still be around...and hopefully provide some mentorship for the incoming moderator(s).

    Mentorship ? From Ken ?

Ken has gone ghost protocol, changed his address, his name, passports, sporting a beard and sunglasses now. The only mentorship the new mod will have is when they move into Ken's office and find...

A gallon sized jug of Tums on the desk.
First drawer has a half drunk bottle of Jack.
Computer has John Wick as the screen saver
Second drawer is full of darts

close the office door and a picture of F1nut appears , with 16 darts already stuck in him. Under his picture is probably many of us.

That's about all the mentorship needed anyway. :)

Ken had a "most wanted" wall in his office, and according to him, I was public enemy #1 :s :p

No worries. In the Internet age, management training is mostly done remotely anyway.
