My room is a brisk 1 mile walk from the convention center thing that sucks is I can't check in until 3pm. I will be driving up Saturday morning go to the show for a couple of hours leave abruptly check in then walk back to the show and start catching up on the beverages with all you Yahoo's.

I will have just gotten back from San Diego the week before so the old blood will be thinned out a bit hopefully it won't be as cold as last year as the walk back to the room might just be a cold one after the evenings festivities. I'm looking forward to seeing and hanging out with you all again and meet some new faces.

An awful lot of driving and 6 nights in Chicago seemed a bit too much. Plus we want to go to the Grand Canyon which is a little out of our way. So my wife will fly to Buffalo from Portland and when she’s home we’ll drive To Arizona from here. Audio shows will wait..maybe RMAF.

I dunno Rich, calling Russ an "attractive gal" is a bit of a stretch in my book. :D

I want to know why he was up there to begin with. Probably peeping through windows or gathering coconuts to stuff in his pants.

  • Sherry and I were there last year. It’s a great event. We found lodgings close and the various transit services were inexpensive and timely. We visited with Jim Clark and Frank Malitz who had the Bob Carver rooms, Clayton Shaw and Jim Salk along with a host of others. I was surprised how many manufacturers were aware of TheFest, and a bit jealous of TheBobFather and the following he has at the event in Bryson City. Hope to see y’all there.

Looks like PS Audio has some interesting things planned for Axpona:

"Axpona marks the World Premiere of PS Audio's AN speakers, based on work by our friend and mentor, the late Arnie Nudell, founder of Infinity Systems and Genesis Technologies. PS will show a state-of-the art system featuring DirectStream DAC and Memory Player, BHK Signature preamp and mono amps, P20 Power Plant regenerators, and the AN3 loudspeakers, the smallest of the AN line.

All AN speakers will feature built-in powered servo subwoofers, Air Motion Transformer midrange and tweeter drivers, and DSP to allow for maximum flexibility in use. The top model AN1 will be a serious contender for state-of-the-art, challenging the best loudspeakers made. As always with PS Audio products, the AN series will outperform products at several times their price."
