In Atlanta the past day or so there has been a story on the news about a Marta train derailment (public transport train for Atlanta metro)
My wife and daughter are leaving for an out of town trip and managed to see this.
-
Not something you see every day.
Somehow I thought that cars like that were bigger than that?!

I love the smell of fresh, damp mimeographs ("dittos") in the morning.

Used run the printing presses for the whole school districts forms. It was actually a vocational class
We would typeset then burn the plates ... yes that smell
We had single, T-heads, and tri-head Abidick presses
Then there was the glue for the pad forms😳

I worked in a print shop for a while, ran a A.B. Dick 360 offset, A.B. Dick plate maker. Yep, the padding compound smell was strong, like raw latex, but was fun stuff. Those presses will last forever, great well made equipment. -
