Depends on what binding posts, caps, and resistors he used. Might actually not be too nutty, especially if that's Canadian dollars.

It would cost you more than $850 CDN to buy a pair of 2A's and fully upgrade them like that unless you do the soldering yourself.

Yeah, but lets all be honest.... very few outside this forum would value the "upgrades"....

And no one wants to pay the full value of any upgrade, especially if they are used (again outside this forum).

Hell look what fully moded LSi 9's went for shipped and that was ON THIS FORUM

Once you mod a speaker assume a loss of at least 50% of the cost of the mods and forget even factoring in labor lol.... You dont do the mod to increase resale, you do it because you enjoy the better sound out of it.

Its why I wont mod anything unless I know I'm keeping it long term (damn I miss my 11TL's sometimes  ).

Google says that's only $600 US dollars, I don't know I really don't think that's too ridiculous. I paid $400 for my mint but stock 2B's plus drove and slept in my car for 2 days straight.

I see where you're coming from though.

uhm he's also asking $750 for the bone stock Monitor 10s too...

That's ridiculous, I can agree on that one. Monitor 10's should be around $150 USD stock. The 2A's though... I don't know. Not terrible.

Yup, I dont disagree he should be able to get something, but most folks outside this forum would think your just as crazy for what you did, but it comes down to how rare they are in that location, and if someone really wants em bad..

But for me, thats a price I'd be willing to pay maybe for 1C's and some of the higher ones, but not that the lower models like that one. I also dont "have" to have SDA's, but there might be some other speakers that would tempt me to overpay for them...

What would "most" people on this forum pay for a flawless pair of 1.2tl's with the Fortress crossover modification and the dreadnaught included with it?
3K? 4K? Or even a whole lot more. Possibly even up to what it actually costs to buy the pair of speakers and then buy all the mods too. (probably 12 thousand).
But a member of the great unwashed public? No way.

I did a 4 hour round trip for my SDA-CRS pair. In 1998, I did 30 seconds for my 2.3tl's. My uncle, one street over sold them to me when I was 19 years old. Still love them!
