I see that he has several Onkyo electronics still sealed in the boxes. Hmmmm. He offers to open the boxes when the buyer picks shows up to pick up the speakers, and will cancel if damaged. (Is there a physicist in the house that can explain to someone with a minimum-math-and-science journalism degree whether the "observer effect" in quantum mechanics applies here?)

Thanks for posting these. I've been wanting to hear a set to compare to my Monitor 5's. I was going to look at them last night, but work interfered -- even paying bills trumps speakers... sometimes. ;-)
I talked with the guy though, and said I'd be able to go tonight. I'm hoping he hung onto them for me. -
So I ended up getting the Monitor 7's (above). Great sounding speakers for the price! The cabinets are a little scratched, but the drivers are in immaculate condition.
As if I needed another set of speakers.... ;-) hahaha -
