I saw this thread and thought it might be interesting to have my Csi5 modded. How much would a simple mod (not a crazy over-board one) cost?

Right around 90 bucks with return shipping :)

This is Clarity Cap PX with ESA bypass and Mills resistors. DH Labs wire, etc etc :)

We could definitely cut the cost going with Solen - just let me know what you would like to do!!

Also - I would need to see the parts list before I would accept any money, I only have parts list for the CSiA5 - I assume they are similar but ya know.. If you are unsure of what to get for me - alot of folks just send them to me and we order parts after they arrive. Whatever works best for you my friend!

That sounds reasonable. What kind of improvement do you think I would hear with this upgrade?

In my experience with center channels you should obtain a cleaner top end and midrange - so ultimately vocals will sound cleaner, clearer. It really depends on how much information you send your center channel - could be dramatic or minor. But crossover upgrades for me have always been positive, large improvements.

I probably just missed it, but I haven't seen 1c's?

If you are doing these, Trey, would you give me your best bang/$ recommendation?

    Thanks,

Hmmm - I have not seen a 1c crossover... but I can definitely do them! :)

To me the best combo out there is ESA on the tweeter and SA on the woofers with Solen on the larger values

Really hard to say, email me at Vr3Mods@gmail.com with what kind of price ball park you were thinking and let me look into it!

How much to do a full on LSI15 mod? I'd like to keep the crossovers within the cabinets themselves even though this is the harder solution.

Stangman if your decently close I would suggest dropping them off in person so he can mount them in the 15's for you.

Thats what my plan is going to be when/if I do mine.

It's 100x easier to work with the cabinet on-hand. You're gonna LOVE your modded LSi15s; I guarantee it. Trey does some top-shelf work, so you're one lucky son of a gun to live nearby.

I wouldn't do a top to bottom LSi15 without the cabinets here either.

Until further notice I am going to stop modding crossovers.

I feel at this time with my time constraints it is not something I should do - maybe again in the future...

I have a few more here at the house to do...

For those I have modified already - I will of course provide "support" in the future if needed.

    Thanks! :)
