No, I think they are 5 ohm and if I remember right, they should be around 92db sensitivity because of all those drivers.

If the guy stays true to his word and gives me first dibs. I think he will. I'll be comeing home with these later this evening. I have an appointment to go see them at 5 o'clock.
I should be posting pictures on the forum by seven at the latest if I get them.
Thanks for everybody's kind words and offers. This place is great!

Good luck - bring 'em home safe! -

I spoke to the seller and officially removed myself from the running for the speakers.Further, I put in a good worrd for Nick, telling the seller they are going to a great home with him. Seller stated he had a bunch of offers to buy them at 750.00, including mine, so I did not damage Nick's ability to buy them for less. The Gear... Got them.
Probably the most badass speaker I have ever seen. No picture will ever do these things justice!
They look like they did when they were new. No exaggeration. They almost look better than new. Unbelievable I think is the word for them.
I'm keep'em forever!

Sorry the pics aren't better. They are too damn heavy to have stopped and taken some pictures out side. They had to come straight in.
Robert was a great guy to meet. Many thanks to him for holding them for me.;)

Whats 1.2TL??
Is that better??
Nick -
Holy ****. There 8ohms and 91db!
Some please tell me if my tube amp s common ground!!!!!!!!! Or if even needs to be. I want to turn it on and hear some music!!!!!
Nick -
They re 8ohm "compatible". They are actually 6ohms;) Stereo array is 8 and dim array is 4. These in parallel give you 6ohms nominal with dips to 4. Yes you need common ground. Glad to see you got them:)
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Oh for **** sake why are we going to Virginia when you got those???? Nice work Nick! DON"T SELL THEM!!!!! Give me your address and let me know if we are still going down tomorrow.

dI like to listen, tinker, listen and repeat. -
Well. I couldn't help it. I hooked them up to my 5 watt tube amp. I started getting some kind of feedback. So I turned it off immediately. I strapped the negatives together. Guess what. It sounds freaking AWESOME.
I'm totally freaking in love with these speakers!!!!
I have a felling these might not ever leave me.

I'd email http://www.tubelab.com/ and make sure it's ok to tie the grounds.
Have you tried triode mode with the Polks yet?
Who would have thought it, SDA's sounding beautiful with less than 15wpc?

Thats what I am listening to them with. The Simple SE in triode mode. I don't usually ever listen in UL mode. Triode sounds much better IMO.
I've just strapped the negative binding posts. And so far no problems and sounds great. Dead quite.

Any crossover or tweeter upgrades in the future or are you leaving it all stock? -
Considering these might be one of the nicest specimens in the world. No exaggeration. I might keep them all original. They just seem to perfect to start doing modifications to. Who know though. Only time will tell.
Another quick pic.
