Does it really matter what it is? Joke or not the REALITY ]is that this thread shows us just how much of a "community" we have here.

So much so that even if this were a joke we could laugh at it or cry along with it if it were true.

So I call the truth or untruth here ABSOLUTELY IRRELEVANT!!

    APRIL FOOLS!!!

Yup, lotta gullible folks around here. Jesse, Mike, Roy, Leroy along with a few others nailed it. Thanks for playing. :D:p

The rig was playing for me as I typed this post. In fact, I enjoyed it all day yesterday after I got off work. I have a security system, added security, retired neighbors that are watchful eye dogs that know to call the cops as soon as they see anybody around the house that they don't know. If they pass all those, they get to meet my not so friendly to strangers dog. Though I am still always worried, I think I fear fire more so than theft.

That said, the folks that posted in this thread BEFORE this post have unknowingly entered themselves into a Polk Audio Karma. This part is not an April Fools Joke. I have......

Chesky Records - Guide to Critical listening - CD
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue - SACD
Andy Warhol / The Velvet Underground and Nico - Deluxe Edition 2-disc CD

I'll announce the winner sometime today and let my son draw the winners name out of a hat. Oh yeah, I almost forgot....:p :p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

Glad it was only a joke as well, but having Russ "confirm" the damage almost isn't fair :D

Though this does remind me of a certain story about a little boy and a wolf...

Well, at least now I can go home from work and listen to my A1's instead of boxing them up to ship to you.

That is, as long as some **** doesn't steal them before I get home.

I also agree, using Russ to confirm was not fair... not fair at all. Still was well-orchestrated :)

Someone who doesn't want to get banned over an April fools hoax. That was another clue. Had my rig actually been stolen, the pirate mouth in me would be cursing so much I don't think anybody would be able to decipher what I was actually trying to say.

    I'll throw in a couple SACD's myself.....

Dave Brubeck Quartet....Take Five not a hybrid onlyplays on SACD players
Diana Krall...The Girl in the Other Room......hybrid.....and tasty!:D

Over all, boys and girls, whilst playing this ruse, it was evident that there are many here who were willing to step up and chip in some help.
That, in and of itself, shows the great character and caring of this Polk..Hell.. AUDIO family that exists here. If someone is in a pinch alot of y'all come out and help. Be it sound, health, family, most will jump right in.
That is why I like this place.

    Thanks for playing, chumps!
    I love you all.....(sniffsniff)......except Drew.
