Sucks big time... I'd be willing to ship out my RTiA1's to help build up a system again. I'm sure we can get Polkies to pull together the rest. Even if it's just 'til the insurance **** is figured out.

I can't imagine how I'd feel if it happened to me...

Ok. So not a joke. Wow Tom, that really sucks. I hope you're insured and you can recover most if not all of it.

I didn't think it was from the first post. It's not something you would joke about.

Ditto, what a shame. Having 2 cars stolen out of the driveway is nothing compared to loosing your audio gear.

We should be keeping an eye on Craigslist/eBay for Tom's gear. Chances are, the theives were not stealing it to put in their living rooms!

I'm serious about shipping out the A1's... Except maybe we should ship stuff somewhere nearby instead of to a house that just got broken into...

Just saw this - that sucks! I've been robbed before, and the feeling of violation is far worse than losing "irreplaceable" stuff (which also sucks). You can always assemble a new rig, but you can never shake the idea that some **** got into your things.

I hope all in your family are safe and well.

besides april fool's, the only thing i kept thinking whilst reading the opening post was it was LIGHTMAN who done took your gear. ya'll two are always jacking around and what not and bs'ing.

this may very well still be a 4/1/10 joke, but it's on treitz by LIGHTMAN.

in all seriousness, i hope this is a hoax, but if not, i hope you find the **** and make them bleed. but if this is a hoax, i wanna make someone bleed. theft is a heavy, heavy violation that burdens the soul for years to come. makes one pananoid as FU**.

No way Bill! I enjoy pulling a good harmless prank. But there is no way in hell I'll mess with another persons gear. Too much bad ju-ju can happen.
Still haven't heard from him yet. His wife is probably freaked out and didn't want to stay there or something......Hope it all works out in the end.

then again, all your gear stolen (if true), maybe street justice should be served immediately. now, who can we point the finger at?

If someone stole my gear it would be war. Seriously I think I would freakin' flip! I'll gladly come and help catch these idiots who did this crap. I hate when people steal as its just so freakin' low and its just so painful to go through. I think its bad when I got 20 bucks taken at work when I was younger but my whole system.
    I would just loose it.

Sucks man seriously... if I can be of any help at all -- let me know. I wish I had some stereo gear laying around to hook you up with...

I sympathize. This really Suck$! Like a number of others have said, ask if there is anything we can do for you....I can't do too much because I'm 12K miles away. But I'm back in a few months. I have a bunch of older AVRs I'd be willing to part with to go with Noah's offer of speakers (nothing spectacular--but enough to tide you over--unfortunately--won't be in the U.S. for a while yet.).

This also makes me think about my own system(s). Being this far away I have nightmares of this kind of thing happening! So fingers crossed on that!

Best case scenario...the cops find some miraculous tip to track your stuff down.

    Hang in there.

Tom, this sucks real bad, I'm so sorry. I can send you a Panasonic S77 DVD player to help out and I'll pay for the shipping too. Darn If I were closer I'd lend you my 3.1tl's for however long you needed them, shipping would be too expensive though.

Hmm.... Anyone check his prior posts? Quite a normal one about 11 minutes before the one that kicked this off. Someone burglarizes my house, I've got other things to worry about before posting here... Oh yeah, about 24 hrs ago, he posts in a thread about home security systems. Seems a little B&E might have been on someone's mind. Hmmm?
