The best way to say it I guess is that it took the edge off the system without losing detail, and gained some weight(good thing).
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

One thing I am noticing is the ability os my system to play cleaner with more detail at low volumes. I'll shut up for now.

    Hey Mike-

You may officially remove my name from the demo list, OK?

If you didn't catch the thread, I just purchased a Magic Power cord from Notasuv this week, and I have a SignalCable Digitalreference power cord on its way to me this coming week to try out; so, rather than tie up this generous offer from you for two weeks, let the next person in line move up.

    Thanks,
    Harry
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Agreed Ben... The LAST thing I wanted to do was send these out. There is a noticeable lack of depth in my rig since they left. If I can buy them after the demo cycle is over I will gladly give them a good home.

Well I couldn't stand listening to my system without good cables so I made some with some 10'3 Carol cable I had laying around the house. I had ordered some IEC connectors and some Edison plugs. These sound every bit as good as the cables in the swap. We'll see how they burnin, or eve if they burnin.
    Thanks again McLoki

Got the cables today Michael. Great job packing them Ben.
I'm going to use this demo a bit differently:
The longer digital cord will be used for my Pioneer Kuro Plasma HDTV and the shorter Magic Power will go to the PS3. I know my TV and PS3 extremely well and want to see if I can see any improvements in picture quality with my reference material.

I will post honest reviews in a couple of weeks. Thanks for letting us do this Mcloki!!!

Are you using your PS3 as a DAC?

Crap - now that you say that - my 6' cord is a digital reference power cord I think.....

Now I could very well be wrong, but I think the longer cable is actually the MagicPower Video Reference.

DC, if you have a removable IEC on your headphone amp, that's a fun place to roll PC's.

Funny you should mention that; I have heard DACs take well to this upgrade. I have a Maverick DAC at work, and pulled the PS Audio cord on it awhile back, so Monday I may bring in a Magic Power. Thanks.

Rolling PC's on the Peachtree Nova made a much more obvious difference than on any other piece of gear I've owned.

On my G/F's NuForce Icon, we tried a few PS Audio and Signal cords. It all depends on what your preference is. She prefers warmth, so the Signal Magic Power sounded best to her. There was also a big difference in noise floor from the stock PC to the Signal MP. I'm just glad she picked my least expensive cord. :D

If I only add a single high quality power cord to my system, to which component should I connect it in order to hear the most difference? My sig lists my system.
i hear if you wind them up in the shape of runic letters they work even better.

I'm considering a Pangea for the office tube integrated. Did you notice most of your difference through headphones or speakers or both, Mike?

On a side note I recently added (4) MIT Z II power cords to the main rig (amp, both pre-amps, dac) and they seem to make a difference. Only thing is I did this around the same time as the DAC mod so I'll have to swap the stock cords back in sometime to see which is what. I swear I get more bass (tighter too) out of the Aleph which was never even a problem before :)

Except for the Nova(DAC), the biggest difference from from the Icon(headphone DAC/AMP). IMO, it appears that components with weak power supplies are those most affected by aftermarket PC's. I don't recall hearing a difference with my old Pass F5 clone.

The only time I had a negative experience with aftermarket PC's was with my Belkin Pure AV Hybrid UPS, every aftermarket cord raised the noise floor. I tried to order another cord from Belkin so I could try it on other pieces of gear, but they wouldn't sell it separately.
