Lol. Your stuff is probably better than mine. I dont really know what makes something high end anymore. Yeah. Its all good. Im not taking any of the Emoette crap to heart anymore. Im just here to try to learn and maybe even help by telling my experiences with stuff I ave owned.
    GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

By the way. I notice that not all posts have our sigs in them. Is there a reason why. If we quote someone does it cut out the sigs. Maybe thats why I missed them before. I guess Ill know after I post this since Im not quoting maybe my sig will show.

    Nope it didnt show.
Well crap. after a second edit it showed.

It has more to do with time since last post... not putting the sig in every post cuts down on bandwidth useage. I haven't figured out the exact logic behind it yet. But if i'm really curious, i just go to your profile. ;)

And i wouldn't necessarily call my stuff "better." Just different. You can't really compare a dedicated 2-channel setup to an HT RTI-based setup. :p

It will be Peyton vs Archie in the Super Bowl. Archie will always be a Saint.

I'm torn between the Viks and the Saints in that neither have won a Super Bowl but the Viks were in it, what, four times. I'm going to have to flip a coin to see who I'm going to root for.

So the poster ended up getting 2 xpa-1's and other amps?geesh. My xpa-1's I sold on the emo site. Just went up for sale for 1500 plus shipping. He could have saved about 300 by checking there first.
I have heard diffferent things about thr rtia9's. I have heard they love power but in this thread it seems most say they dont need alot. I find that they at least need 200 watts. A recievers amp does not do them justice. Yes maybe the xpa-1 were overkill but man it made them really rumble and open up. I wonder what the upcoming upa-1 emotiva monoblock amp would do for them?

Emo's asking price fluctuates all the time to accommodate holidays and tax season. I picked up a pair new during during Christmas for $1600 even.

Well, how about you recognize your mistake and cancel your proverbial "subscription" here after only a month or two, and save everyone the hassle?

Why? Couldn't understand all the technical information, how it applies over various platforms, and its resultant effect on the sound of the device being reviewed?

Yeah, I'm thinking about getting x2 DSW Pro600's. 7.2 channel pre/pro, might as well use it!QUOTE]

Does your pre-pro have 2 .1 outputs putting out "different signals"? Mine has 2 though it's the same signal. I'd think .2 means different signal from them.

    Any other opinions?

I figure in year I'll have all the other work complete on my system. Then I'll connect an older pre-pro to my rear surround outputs to extract the rear sub signal. That I'd think is .2

Have you taken cooling into consideration? Stacking multiple separate amps in a rack can potentially cause heat buildup if you don't have good ventilation. A single multi-channel separate amp for HT is more than adequate in most situations. I'd go with a 3, 5 or 7 channel amp depending on your current and future requirements.

Hmmm... that heat thing...something some overlook. I plan to exhaust the heat from the different chambers w/fans. A side note to multi-channel amps, except for the better ones. My argument for each channel having its own PS in some form or another.

It all depends on your needs
