In please. If I win, will use to make a donation to a certain Polkie in need to help defray medical costs.

(I found this thread searching for information about the Cobra cables that I am trying to buy. The most startling conclusion that I have drawn from my research is that Polk literally started the cable revolution. They were First, with Fulton, then Monster, then everyone else following. Polk was the first to believe that cable matters!)

I believe they were one of the first braided speaker cables on the market and had high capacitance, so were a little lethal with unstable amplifiers.

    Good guesses Messiah.

Hey just to be clear....the questions are just questions and not neccesary for you to enter the Karma at all. It's a requirement to TRY to at least guess....sheesh.

If you don't say you're "IN!", "I'm In" or something of that nature, I won't throw your name in the hat. It would be a shame to miss out because you're not listening or forgot to say it :) I'll find that thoroughly amusing.

No, I understand the rules:) I just wanted to see if I could actually get a few of these right. Pretty tough questions. I'd love to be in, but they would just be sitting around until I'm able to pick up an amp that will drive them properly. As much as I'd love a pair of 7's, I don't think that would be fair on my part. Thanks for pointing that out tho, and for the opportunity at awesome karma!!

How about soy bean therefore any product that derives from soy is a big problem for Matt Polk?

Q: What was significant about Polk Audio's introduction of the famous Cobra Cable in 1977?
Not sure but as mentioned many amps were allergic to them. I think Polk might also have been one of the precursor for the cable industry of today (Mon$ter, MITs) and when that industry started florishing in the early 80s if Polk at kept in the cable business it might have created some issues with its dealers???
