Ben, miracles do happen. 20 odd years ago I worked with a guy who was turning yellow, eyeballs and skin. The guys he worked with told him that he was looking terrible and the yellow was serious. He went to the Dr and after a truckload of tests, he had pancreatic cancer. Well near the end we didn’t want his wife to have the house with a bad roof so we all took up a collection and replaced the roof on one weekend (barbeque and lots of beer). A few weeks after that he went in for a final test to see how he was doing. He had improvement and was in remission. Two weeks after that, the unbelievable thing happened; the cancer was nowhere to be found in his body. The cancer team at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center here in Seattle said that it was God’s miracle and that there was no other way to explain it. He retired from where we worked 10 years ago and is still around.

We were all blown away by it! Some years later, one of our senior workers (I was a printer so we had workers in their 80's) came up to the guy and said "say aren't you the guy who we fixed the roof for and was supposed to die, what happened?".

I really apreciate my Polk family. When I came here Joe tried to explain that this place is more than some virtual friends. We have a great thing going on here. I am actually in good spirits. I am not having a pitty party over here. It was a slap in the face when I found out Brady was closing. I had looked into St Joe's a while ago, and Brady looked like a much better option. The news of a local facility has boosted my already good spirits. Anyone who knew me when I broke my back and neck saw the healing that took place. Also remember my healing of the nasty burn I had? You can't tell where it was without real close examination. Prayers and positive attitude is 90% of the battle. I am going to beat this.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

I agree and I've seen a couple of people go from pancreatic cancer...so this is a pretty incredible story. Everything is 'possible', hang in there and follow some of the excellent advice given above. We're not going away and will continue to keep you in our thoughts.
