Hey how do you like the Emotiva speakers? I'm looking for a pair of bookshelfs for my desktop rig. Something that is rather inexpensive and offers good sound. When you say night and day can you explain a little? Just wondering your thoughts. I love my RTi setup, so those aren't going anywhere, just need something for my PC rig.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

I do not even know where to start, and I am serious about that. I just had a couple of buddies over and listened to various stuff that we all own... They were shocked to say the least, even myself. The clarity was nuts, the bass was incredibly tight and the highs were there. Hey, I am not an audiophile by any stretch, but all three of us tonight were in awe.
I popped "300", the movie, into the BD player. All three of us were hearing things in that disc that none of us have heard before. Give Emotiva a look for the speakers, they have an open forum over there, and you can ask all of the questions you want, as I am still a noob with their gear. But I will tell you what, I never thought that I would sound this good.:D
The Polks, don't miss em in the least, in fact, good riddance.

All I can say is that the Emo speakers + Amps are nuts. Hearing things that I, and my buddies, listening to tracks that we have all heard multiple times, have never heard before. The sound is clear, the bass is as sharp as a tack, and I mean SHARP and with power, they HIT. The Mid Range is clear as a bell and the Tweeters have a warm, but "there" sound to them, not ear piercing sharp and not to warm, it is like you are there.;)
No ear fatigue with these speakers, at least as far as I am concerned.
Head on over to emotiva.com and check out their gear. And no, I do not work for them.
