    Hey Ron Temple,

Thanks man, I guess I will see you over at AVS. I reached the magical 25th post, not how I wanted to. You know the game, as I am sure I am done here. Thanks for the answers and support. Will take your advice BEFORE this all started....

Sad? Dude, you are the man with the issues, not me. Life is good here, just trying to get some pricing info on some old speakers. Having a beer while LMAO at what has transpired here.

It's really amazing. This whole argument could have been avoided if localnet had just read the rules, and made a few more posts before trying to sell his items, rather than trying to skirt forum rules.

Despite what you might say, the last part of your post where you state "The speakers are located in Michigan, Ann Arbor, Chelsea area off I-94. Looking for local pickup only if anyone is interested that may read this thread.", sounds like an attempt to sell your gear.

I seem to be saying this a lot lately...

Jeez...do new members even bother reading the rules here?

Lay off the keg dude. Don't ya think it's a bit early to be this drunk?

You know who I feel sorry for? Mr. Ron Temple. He's a respected cat here and localnet just pissed all over his friendship. FFWBB is all it took. Like I said, sad. Very sad.

    LMAO,

Now you are concerned about my health? Look, I didn't read the rules, sorry. This is just like getting pulled over by a cop for getting that tire on the white line. Did you know that that is a ticketable offense? Have you ever stood in front of a judge while he scrapes a few hundred coin out of your pocket because you watered your lawn on the wrong day of the week? And the judge tells you that the "ignorance of the law" is no excuse?

Just wait young'n, as you ain't seen noting yet.:D

Ignorance of the Law (forum rules)?

    Give me a break...

I wanted to know what they are WORTH!

I don't think so. I would be more concerned in the other direction. Ron said his peace, don't put words into his mouth, I did not.

Don't worry kids, you will not see them posted for sale here, as I am about done with this all. I have some very nice, well maintained speakers in pristine shape that would make someone very happy. But after all of this, screw you guys. I don't need the money, just thought there may be someone out there that would like a really nice fully functioning HT speaker setup. I just wanted to know what they are worth and screwed up by not reading the fine print 8 years ago.

Hell, my son in law would give his left nut for this setup, so it will more than likely go his way. Totally befuddled at all of this, and the kid will be happy, as I am sure he will want a new AVR for Christmas to run the speakers... Thanks guys, you just cost me more money!:D

    OY!

    Thanks for nothing.

Is there some point that you're trying to make with this post? It's basically a bunch of jibberish.

No, I'm not concerned with your health. Though some might consider being drunk at 3 in the afternoon something of a problem.

I've had to stand in front of judges a few times myself. He was right...ignorance of the laws(rules in this case) is no excuse. It's against the rules...plain and simple.

I might be a "young'n", but believe me...I've seen a bit in my life. I'm not sure how that's supposed to be related to the topic at hand...but...whatever. I won't lose any sleep over it.

I would have to assume that in 8 years of membership here, you've seen a few people get attacked for trying to skirt the forum rules.

Is it supposed to be different in your case? Just because you're special little you? GTFO.

Well, I am over the 25 minimum thread count. And trust me, you will not see them listed here. So, what is your problem? I'm cool, I own them, they are sitting in my office and I do not need the cash. So what is this Polkie supposed to do?

    Mike,

You gotta chill! I think Teritz and Curt and F1 have mistaken you for other newbies who want to flip their gears and be done in the forum. We've got quite a lot of these newbie flippers lately.

Still, it is Saturday, the sun is shinning and out on the deck getting ready to fire up the BBQ. Hell, I ain't like this during the week!

Just cannot believe what I am reading and seeing here. And no, I am not special, but I know my intentions. And my intentions were to get some pricing on said equipment. Hell, I might just have one to many beers tonight and start a fire with the Polks as kindling. Now wouldn't you all be amazed at that?:D

Ain't going to happen, ain't that stupid. But starting to question why I even came here.... Thought you guys would help me out, I guess ( I know now) I was wrong.

No Mike, I doubt that. I very seriously doubt that. Try not to burn yourself grilling. Your neighbors might complain about the stench.

When you sober up, don't expect a warm welcome back to Club Polk.

Just having fun in a SHOCKED kinda way. I never expected this kinda treatment here. Actually says allot about where we are all heading...

And holding no grudges, been there done that. I wish we all knew each other, as I believe the "opinions" here would be much different then the "impressions" being left on the table, if you get my incoherent drift.

Wow, I don't know what to say?

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

Pretty arrogant of you, not knowing me. Now you are turning this personal, and no class on your end in my book. I'm not out driving, I'm not out terrorizing anyone.... I just wanted some info on pricing, screwed up and did not read the "rules" when I signed up 8 years ago. Sorry dude, you got your dig, so what is next?

Sad, I just wanted to know what my Polk speakers are worth on the open market and did not intend to ship so I included my "general" location. Thought maybe that would help in pricing out my gear. As I have no idea what my local market is in regards to speakers. Hell, I am in Michigan! We have been in a depression/recession for a few years now, but I am not participating, got a problem with that?

    All is good here.

I'm actually starting to think different. I have made a few purchases over the past few months, and have been attacked on numerous occasions by people that I really respected. My recent was the Emotiva gear, damn I got slammed over at AVS.

My recent flat screen purchases that I am happy with, slammed again. My one big boast was how much I SAVED, not how special I am or how much money I have. Hell, if you are going to play on these AV boards, I would hope you all ain't living in your cars. Because lately, that is all that I am reading unless you play in the tens of thousands threads, and I am not there yet. But working on it! And I guess shame on me for trying, RIGHT?

AVSforums is notorious for trolls just wanting to get their "opinion" out and gain the attention of other forum members. In my short experience here, I've come to learn that CP seems to be more like a close-knit group, and everyone here helps each other out extensively. I don't care who you are and where you're from localnet, but if you needed some advice and I can offer it I'm not going to neglect your request. As for the others on here who are simply trying to enforce the rules that apply to everyone, good on them, it's stuff like that that keeps a forum like this running so well. And if you were in the wrong, I will side with them because imo you did come off trying to offer your gear for sell with a statement made in your OP.

Look me up on AVS, over 1500+ posts over the years, just like Ron Temple said earlier. I have no need to defend myself, as Ron said it all... And I shot him a pm before I even started this thread! So who is on first here? Where were you in 2001 when I registered at CP?
