Need some help pricing speakers for a sale...

A continuation of the above^^^^
Jeez, and I am the one with the problem?
Hey, look you all, if you want advice, go elsewhere or expect to be attacked. And God forbid you come on here and say you dropped some serious coin on (name your brand) audio gear. And may God forgive you if you are trying to get a price for used gear, unless you have read the "rules"...
And I know all about eBay and internet scams... Been doing this since 1989 on the internet (ARPANET in Alaska)... Been there done that, but have never seen what I am seeing until about a year ago. God help us.... Because this ain't good...

Give it a rest will ya!

Take PICTURES? My pants down or me burning my speakers?
Been a member longer than you, didn't read the rules regarding selling anything here, never needed to. But I know there are some guys and gals out there that would love to have my setup, along with my unemployed son in law... You kinda remind me of him in a way... Waiting for your free health care... And whatever else you can suck off the producers...
And how long do you think it would take me to get to 25 posts to sell here? About 20 mins, and Ron already set me straight on posting the items I have "for sale". And like I said, I don't even care if I SELL THEM! Simply looking for advice on pricing. What an anal pig you are F1, get a life, you remind me of one of my ex-employees, he is driving a bus somewhere and living with his mom, still.
And what the hell difference does it matter if I have 25 posts or not to ask for advice on what these speakers are worth? God, why even bother, thanks for f'n nothing. And thanks to the guys sticking up for me, always a bad apple in the bunch.
Mike
And you want pictures, here they are, bought brand new... See attachment.
Thanks for showing everyone here what kind of person you really are. Take your insults, your ego and your speakers to another sandbox, this one isn't for you.Political Correctness'.........defined

My dad once told me if you don't like someone ignore them. This thread should have answered his question and then just ignored him. Continuing on like this just makes everyone seem like a pack of whiny **** (in the most appropriate non-sexist connotation of the word). If the guy asked help, give it to him and he will go. People in the world will be happier, speakers will be sold, music enjoyed, and the matter will be done with. Everyone gets personally offended on these forums. Let it go and have a beer (or twelve). I will (when I turn 21).Bulls make money.

I get the point, he didn't read the rules. What you guys didn't get was how little was accomplished from all your whining other than harsh words, and the chasing off of a potentially valuable club member. Next time say these are the rules politely, instead of in a way that could be misconstrued as being flippant or harsh, and then either ignore or answer the question. For all you who are just perpetuating the argument, you would think your 1000+ posts would have shown you it does no good. You missed the point.Bulls make money.

You are right. Although I might serve as an example of someone who may be new to the forum, but also might have something valuable to say? Your attitude of "we have it all figured out" is ironically ignorant because you have yet to learn from your mistakes. Just because someone is "new," does not mean that are not of value. And he is valuable because despite what you may think, he has a nice stereo system that someone somewhere might be very happy with. You could be a step in between in regards to sale price. Don't be so closed minded Mr. Know-it-all (another thing both of my parents taught me not to be). I forgot how some "experienced" people tend to lose knowledge as well as common sense as they gain said experience. You missed the point again.

Can I offer you some advice.... whenever you decide to go after one of the most respected members of this forum, expect a strong backlash. Jesse has more knowlege in his middle finger(which he may use on anyone at any time) than you have learned so far in your lifetime. He has helped every one of us here on multiple occasions. Your insignificant contributions so far have done not one thing to enhance the value or reputation of CP, and only have served to agravate. I suggest that you contribute some, LEARN some and relax.. now excuse me while I grab a Sam Adams from the fridge.;)The Gear... Lets be honest, even if he had the required 25 post it would have been a 50/50 shot of him getting **** on for being a new member looking to sell something.
IMO 25 post to sell is worthless. If you want a require post count in order to sell it really should be higher than 25 as all you get is a bunch of spamming vs a higher requirement most people would move on and not waste their time spamming for so long.Living Room Rig:D

I am surprised some of you call yourself adults. And I was not going after him, merely calling him intolerant and unhelpful in the situation. And whatever my contributions, they have been more intelligent and well thought out (at least well intended) than your contribution in this thread. If anything, my posts in this thread to minimize the picking-ons of new members should enhance the reputation of the thread (something your intolerant posts can not boast). I am sure he knows much about speakers. All I suggest is that next time instead of spitting criticism he actually continues on his 18 thousand posts to be helpful to yet one more person. And I am perfectly relaxed, always am.
PS - Sorry for causing a humbug about this but I feel strongly that just because someone is new, does not mean they should not be treated with respect. The same goes for those who have contributed much in the past. They are great, but not infallible. Equal respect is a sentiment I am sure Club Polk would concur with.Bulls make money.

This will be my last post to you, after which you will be placed on my BOZO list, permanently.
You should really have some idea of what you are talking about otherwise you end up looking like a fool, which you certainly seem to be.
If you go back and read my first response, I simply informed him of the rules as follows; The Rules:
Quote:
1. You must have a total post count of 25 (contribute to the other parts of the forum) before you can sell anything in the "For Sale (FS) Classifieds" or "Garage Sale" forums.
2. List a price you wish to sell the item (include shipping costs). All members asking for secret bids (like ebay) will have their items removed.
You should also note that the OP is not a newbie in the sense that you are, he joined in 2001.
My second post was, in fact, not even directed at him.
You should also note that it was he that came back with the attitude saying, "Screw you!"
So, there we have it. You are wrong.
Oh yeah, about respect.....it gets earned, here and in life. You've got a long way to go before getting any here. Good luck, you're going to need it.Political Correctness'.........defined

I was not at all only speaking to you, F1, and I am sorry if it seemed that way. I was speaking generally about the opinion toward anyone who doesn't have "your" beloved number of posts. And in no way do I agree with the way the OP jumped back at you all, it was inappropriate and ignorant just like many of the return rants were. I do believe, however, that you are doing yourself a disservice by immediately jumping on the very kind poster who wrote "well said." You act like a 6th grade schoolgirl whose best friend didn't agree that she was the skinniest fat girl on the schoolyard. Grow up. I am sorry it took someone under 21 to say that.

My 2 cents- everyone that posted had valid points with the exception of the localdrunk. He is absurd. I dont think mdk meant to disrespect anyone. F1 politely re-stated the rules to our drunk. The backlash that ensued was not nessesary. Maybe our drunk friend will read his posts when his hangover kicks in and realize how completely abnoxious and childish he was. btw my cs1000p is one bad center... cant wait to throw an 200w amp at it. The speakers are still here. And I have no intentions of posting them for sale on this site, so don't sweat it.

Walk in my shoes, was just asking for info and did not think that any of this would happen. And I had no intentions of offending so many for simply asking about the value of a set of speakers. They are nice, and someone somewhere will get allot of enjoyment out of them as I did over the years.
And the Emotiva speakers that replaced them? Night and day.
