Like someone said earlier.. he produced some really good music in his early days... Thriller still the biggest selling album of all time. That achievement will never be broken.

I think that he died a sad man and lead a tormented life. Whatever he did during his life is now between him and God. I pray for the people who he may have hurt, and his family.

    I know I will.

Would any parent here let there son be anywhere around him? I know I would not. Its a sad story because for some reason he's a sad case and a disturbed person. Hopefully for him he'll be at piece but if he did what many folks say he'll get no rest anytime soon.

Ben, I agree with you 100%

I gotta go have another beer and watch the Red Sox :)

sad that some people only see MJ as a pedophile.. and not a musician or entertainer that he was.

I guess for Elvis too.. people now only remember him for how fat he was when he died, not for his music or singer.

I'm not defending MJ.. but c'mon people don't joke about his death.... there will be plenty of that unfortunately later on.

Well said. My parents always told me that you don't kick someone when they are down. I don't attend funerals of people I had problems with, and I don't talk S about them after they are dead. It just doesn't seem right. I don't approve of what he was accused of, but now that he can't defend himself, let it go.

Power and money can buy a lot, we see it with the uber-popular all the time. Not saying MJ was guilty or not, I don't know. But many, many of the rich and famous get away with a lot, lot more then the average joe.

Yes he was a very very talented pedophile. Can you say double standards? If he wasn't talented would you guys still be saying RIP? I doubt it. Or if a serial killer was very talented you you say rest in peace? I doubt it. Pedophiles are very very low on my list. What happens to most victims is common knowledge. I'll shed a tear for his victims, but not that sick talented focker.

Bingo we have a winner.. he was never charged or fined or did any jail time for the ACCUSATIONS against him.

Come on people. you **** when the media gets **** wrong.. now people are spouting off stuff and they have the facts wrong.

None of us were in the courtroom during the MJ trial now were we??? None of us read the affidavit of probable cause against MJ did we? those were all sealed remember by the judge.

    ok. i'm out.

Give me a damn break folks. He will be remembered for his music for a long time worldwide. He was a master at what he did, no doubt. BUT, and there is a "but", just like OJ and his shenanigan's, do you for one second folks will remember him first and foremost for football? I think not. MJ broke many records and even I had the red leather jacket he wore in the Thriller video as a kid. But, and there is a "but", What he did later in life completely alienated me and countless other millions of people. Was he a pedophile? You bet. Was he ever proven guilty? No. But, and there is a "but", it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that he was one.

Was he one of the best in the business and does he have millions of adoring fans worldwide? Yes. But, and there is a "butt", [a child's butt] he was a sick dog who had the money to pay his way out of jail doing what he did and this created millions of other folks that could care less about the music and more about the man.....er, uh, pedophile.

To which I say, rot in hell instead of rest in peace. I have no sympathy for that sickness and I'm quite sure the kids he affected will have no sympathy tonight either. Just like when OJ passes along with other sick **** folks like Manson, I will not be shedding any tears. That said, I'm out of this thread and off to have a beer.

There was also a civil suit as I remember and he had to pay. I don't know the facts but I do know that I would not trust him around any child. I'm thinking his death was a suicide.
The guilt caught up with him finally.

Are you saying to be mute about a pedophile? OK you'll say he was not convicted, right? Well think about that for a minute? If you had a child, you may and I don't know, would you let that child have a sleep over at his mansion?
