This is why I cant play online....I suck and get killed so much I just say forget it! :)

I had been doing a little bit better recently since unlocking the P90 with the ACOG, and had actually had a few back to back wins the other day with 30 kills and only about 11 deaths. However, this morning I was back to my old self again, with the exception of one game where I went off and had 30 kills and only 9 deaths!! Doesn't happen often though, it also seems like these maps are just set up well for campers, and I hate that. I am on the move the whole game and as proof I have won Nomad and longest distance traveled around 60 times each, lol. I get frustrated after a few camper filled games where I die 25-30 times and only have 10 or 15 kills, so I know how you feel.

Are you playing hardcore? or just like ground war?
I found that I'm starting to get back into the grove of hardcore. I didn't play it at first on this game seeing I didn't know the maps at all and was just too easy to die. But now I acutally know where I'm going (for the most part) so its a little easier to stay alive, but there are far more campers in hardcore than any other game type I think.

So, when are you expecting to get your XBOX back from repair?

Today!! Got a local guy who will fix it for $50 and it takes an hour. Dropping it off at 11am. I am outside the warranty (build 4-10-06) and microsuck wants $99 minimum to repair. Hopefully you see me on tonight.
LOL, I'm assuming this was supposed to be sarcastic? The game just droped a month ago. :D

    -Jeff

Yes it was sarcasm. I've been playing since the day it came out until my xbox died last weekend.

I'm sick of people just choosing the marathon perk and running around the whole game just stabbing players. I played on Sat. am and there was a guy who would get 30 kills by running and stabbing. You try to shoot him and unload a whole clip into him but he'd still stab you...Fn bs!!

I actually play only Free for all, I don't like other games because I am the kind of person that I shoot whatever I see, lol. In free for all, I don't have to worry about having to make sure it isn't a teammate.

I use Marathon Pro, and just got my 10,000 XP for running 104 miles. No one can accuse me of being a camper, lol. I use Melee a lot and have Commando pro with the extended melee distance, but I run and gun and stab when it's too late. Hopefully been playing after I get off work.

I understand it's a perk, fair enough. But to only use that and nothing else... and the fact as I mentioned I unload a whole clip but he's too fast he stabs me and I die but not him...

I like how the game is called Modern Warfare 2, but the two best weapons in the game are a knife and two shotguns from 1887. Why are those shotguns even in the game? Overall I'm disappointed in the consistency of the multiplayer. The lag on ground war is ridiculous, and what the hell is with the game putting your party into a private match on rust.

My xbox is fixed as far as the rrod and freezing, but now I have a new problem. Sorry I left so fast the other night guys. My cd started making a scratching noise and by the time I got it out of the 360 it already had a ring all the way around it!! My MW2 cd is ruined and is no longer recognized! damnit! I don't think he got my dvd player seated back in properly and it was out of balance. Now I have to get a new game, it never ends!

If you have a Hastings near your (or maybe a blockbuster), take it to them to have it cleaned of the scratch. Costs like 2 bucks to get it done. And it will work 9/10 times.

You can send me a giftcard with the money saved ;)

It annoys the hell out of me too but in all seriousness, almost every FPS I played the melee attack is way overpowered. Hell I remember in halo 2 you elbow a guy twice and it kills him but you can lay a whole clip to lower the shields and finally get a head shot.

But MW2 has something to level the playing field, its called hardcore mode, and if it wasn't for every **** camping, thats all I would play

There's nothing wrong with the melee attacks in and of themselves. If you let someone get that close they should be lethal.

The problem is the distance by which you can be stabbed from with the increased melee distance perk (it's ridiculous) and the speed/lightweight perk (equally ridiculous).

Sherard and I were playing Estate last week and this dude was running all over the map and stabbing everyone. He was running around like a Kenyan with a coke habit. He was moving faster than I could move my sights.

I suspect we'll be getting another patch down the line for those perks.

So true so true. Its just annoying when your sitting there like oh I got this guy and shoot like 2 shots off and bam your dead before you even hit the ground for him stabbing you so quick. Its also even faster when you have the special with the pistol on that makes you carry your knife out right away, when you do that its even quicker and yeah, it sucks.

Has anyone else finished the 1st player portion? I know I'm probably just slow at getting it done but dammmmmmnnnn. that was cool is all I'm gonna say.

Thanks! My buddy was telling me that some places around here will do this too. I found a game crazy by my house that will do it for $1.99! awesome I hope this works.

I agree there. Especially when you easily see them come at you and hold down the shooting button and get at least three bullets in them , but you still somehow get killed (not sure if there is a lag problem or something but its annoying as hell).

Not sure if it's me or the PS controler or both. When I'm totally into the game I go to shoot but I end up trying to stab the peron and then I get killed, I fin the push down a little sensitive or I'm to agressive.

I have the complete opposite feeling, I guess I'm half way through and haven't enjoyed any of it (especially the favela one where you're getting shot from EVERYWHERE). In fact, I haven't beat either MW games. I just can't get into it.The only level that I ever replayed is the sniping chernobyl level from the original.

The same can't be said for COD 2. I guess since it has some historical value I don't know, but its definitley something I'll come back to in the near future.

+1. I absolutely hated that level. I felt the single player of this was way too over-the-top and not realistic enough. MW1 single player was way better.

I guess I have been lucky as I haven't seen the lightweight/stabbing combo as being used a lot or that big of a deal. (But now that I say that, I'm sure I'll get hosed with it non-stop.)

I really, really get pissed, like throw the controller pissed, when I am dumping a clip into some sprinting fool and he still stabs me. I like how it is in Gears of War, you can move, but when you are getting bullets in you, you slow down considerably.

I do agree that level sucked! I just ended up taking my time with it and going very slow and trying to kill anyone I could find.
I was just more referring the ending, which I didn't really expect. The best in the world, no but interesting. The game itself very unrealistic but still decent than some I've played.
