I've thought of that as well. We need some computer geek to set this up. Bet it would be a hit.

    PS3 & XBOX:

Technically it should not be too difficult, especially if it came from MS and Sony camps, but I am sure there are restrictions built around it to prevent it. MS and Sony probably do not want it to happen even if the game developers would.

    PS3, XBOX & PC:

I'm not too familiar with XBOX but I believe it's a mini-Windows machine built around MS Operating System, so merging that with PC world could be very simple. In fact, there are games on PC marked "Games for Windows" that can subscribe to Live network but they are rare.

Besides, seriously, PC gamers would murder XBOX and PS3 gamers on FPS games like COD. I'd like to play against you all but you'd be pissed and quite honestly I would not get any satisfaction out of it knowing it wasn't because of my skill but the platform I'm playing.

I've still only played the multiplayer like twice. Just when I thought I had wrapped up Borderlands, they released The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned DLC, so I've been burning through that with a friend. I do hope to get to play some MW2 with you guys at some point soon though.

(This is what happens when you get too many new games in a short period of time, along with a BD player and new AVR. I've still only played an hour of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Brutal Legend, and have Rock Band 2 sitting here essentially unplayed.)

which reminds me, i sure with there were an easier way to kick someone from a party with like a group vote or some ****. maybe there is and i don't know about it. i also wish to christ we could log in as "invisible" as well. that way my kids could play under my live account and not have to worry about gettin' all ya'lls' hopes up that i'm online.:p as well, so i can go online in stealth mode to get in a quick game of free-for-all.

You CAN log in as invisible. First, turn off auto-login on your Live account. Then, when you turn on your 360, hit the guide button, set status to invisible, THEN log in to Live with your account. I do it all the time when I want to play something single player without being disturbed.

I do wish they'd let you set invisible as the default for auto-login, but at least this method is just a few extra button presses.

thanks kunta. i'll check into that. alas, i am lazy and will end up opting out of doing this EACH time. live is cool as beans, but you gotta hit so many buttons and the interface takes time to get through. all this just to send a message or even read one. sigh.

It's really not that bad. If you want to be seen, you just hit Login, then your profile. If you don't, you go invisible first. Auto-login saves you two whole button presses... whereas the benefits of not being bugged when I'm trying to finish a game are endless. :P

We played yesterday and it was fun until we had someone join our party that was just completely rude. It was handled in good taste on everyone's behalf, I talked a little $hit back to the guy but in the end we had fun. Hope to get up with you guys on the 360:

I got some good games in finally tonight without dying a ton. Had a couple games 3:1 ratio or better which was nice. People though omg, are dumb. Had like 5 guys against one guy with a riot shield and they would sit there and just waste ammo shooting at him. hmm kinda funny when you just go up behind them and stab them, simple, and it saves ammo.

That riot shield is allot of fun. A tad bit over the top as it can take some extreme firepower but its fun when people just shoot at ya and not get anywhere.

It may have been covered already, but I'm too lazy to read 400+ posts to find it... is this a cross platform game? or do 360 ppl only get to play 360 ppl and ps3 only ps3? I'm getting it for ps3 either tonight or tomorrow and I'll be looking for some cool (grown-up) people to play with

There is no cross platform play. If you get it for PS3 you will just play against other PS3s.

Must be a little different on the XBOX then, I have had no problem killing through the shield. Then again, most of the time when people select the shield is on fields where I prefer the heavy machine gun. Shield is pretty weak against it.

on xbox i use light machine guns almost exclusively. i can unload an entire magazine (40-50 rounds) into a shield and sometimes STILL have to finish them with a grenade. there are ways around it, but i'm just giving an example of how tough those shields are.
