I liked it and i saw it last night, unfortunately it wasnt with OC.

I will look for OC T4 probably this week or next week.

    spoilers

I thought animation of Arnold Schwarggenzer (SP?) was excellent and it looked real not CG.

Humanity just didn't seem to be on the cusp of annihilation. If only the director was able to create a sense of hopeliness, of dread, and of desparation as the background for the rise of John Connor, this would have been a fantastic movie that would have brought the storyline back to Terminator 1. I guess I wanted it to be more horrific.

I was going to post this exact same opinion of the movie. I always felt the future as envisioned in the first film to be the most awesome part of this franchise. In my opinion, they really buggered it up in this one.

And I have to agree Caligula, that was the best CGI I have EVER seen.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Saw this last night.. I really enjoyed it. tons of action.. yeah not a great movie.. but better than I expected. It is with some faults too. not perfect by any means. but for sheer entertainment value.. it's got that for sure.

Worth the matinee price for sure. See it at the movie theater.. it's so much better.

Saw it last week. We all thought it lived up to the trailer and was better than T3. Excellent FX, fast paced, great action scenes, and I could tell the soundtrack was good even though the theater that we saw it in had a horrible sound system (it sounded way too bright). I liked how they worked the various references to the previous movies into the story. Day one bluray purchase for me :)

Agreed... and plus Kyle Reese was born AFTER the bombs fell. Even though they make him a teen figure. Also think of when Michael Bein (SP?) is dreaming in the car, and he goes back to the whole sequence of them being in that car being chased by the airplane terminator...the intensity of it is crazy. Or the beginning of T3, and watching the war along the shores of the ocean, the whole BLACKNESS of each of those scenes.

This movie seemed way to bright for me. And Bale's Batman voice was kind of annoying. Just talk normal! Sorry but the more i think of it, the more i really dislike this movie. It all comes down to wanting to see a war...I really saw none of that. I did see a 50 foot terminator that looked like a Transformer.

I've got to where I avoid trailers these days. They either over-hype or show nothing to peak my interest.

    I just saw this tonight.

I really liked it. The story was solid and I like the spins. the tempo of the movie was constant but not rushed. Some action movies go a little to far. I didn't feel this way with this movie.

I like when John was listening to the tapes. Fantastic add on and i didn't expect that. That pulled me back to T1. The picture and everything.

Kyle was cool. I missed Derek (Reese) I felt that would have made a nice add in from the Tv show. I know they wanted to keep it separate but with that Character it would have worked.

I suggest anyone who likes Terminator anything to go see this. I didn't like the 10.50 price of a ticket. Thats pushing it to the limit. Crazy amount of money to see a movie. Then we went to the Stand and ordered popcorn and 2 drinks. They wanted 14.75. Come on Popcorn and soda??? WOW !!!!!!

I enjoyed this movie and I thought it was very entertaining. That being said:

It was riddled with problems. I mean John Connor AND Kyle Reese are inside Skynet and by themselves and alive? they are in the middle of the nest and they only send one naked terminator to kill them? Or should I call them Slapinators? :D

I see that in a post nuclear holocost that very shortly after we will have the technology to do heart transplants in the field. That's believable.

I loved Marcus! He was awesome. I could watch him for a loooong time. BUT WTH? They make an 'infiltration ' terminator that's cluless ? An why were other terminators not recognizing him?

Oh well. I loved the action and the sound and even the story such as it is. I'll buy it on Blu Ray. :D

Incidentally, I came across a user named Vive Ardyss at AVS who HAS to be Mike LoPeterMarloweco. He has the same gear, the same writing style, the same reactionary way of responding to people who gave him advice, and has asked about the Oppo he's getting for Christmas in like 10 different threads when all he had to do was look in the BDP-83 info dump.

Was the nude scene in the theatrical version? 'Cause nothing in the director's cut really stood out as new to me except that.

Just finished watching the bluray , sure the plot has holes...but it was a hell of a ride movie for sure. The DTS-HD soundtrack was one of the best I have ever heard...and not just in a few places...it rocks the whole movie.
