    First system I've seen w/ 2 subs. Awesome. 12" x 500w = 20Hz. I'll bet the synergy between the 2 subs takes the FR down to 18Hz.

The best compared to what? Have you listened to the SVS PB13U, any Velodyne subs, anything from Epik or the like? I like Klipsch gear, I used to own a KSW 12 and it was decent until I sold it and went SVS. I have not heard this sub you're buying, however there's a ton more options out there. Looks good to say the least, post your thoughts after you set them up.

The Klipsch Ultra2 Subwoofer system is next level. Its up there with
the Velo dd-18 and JL audio F113. The Subs are a THX Ultra2 passive
subs with the THX Ultra2 KA-1000 amp. The New List price for the system
is $4000.00. But I got a smoking used local deal:D

The Klipsch THX Ultra2 subwoofer system is better that I thought.
The word AWESOME comes to mind, they can play extremely Loud and go
way Low without distortion. The pair of KW-120 subs are Mad Crazy on movies
picking up the subterranean Bass, a bass wave that you can feel.

The Killer part is that the Subs are very good on Music and Concert-DVD.
Super low, quick and tight bass. They have the ability to pick out the lowest
octaves, bass notes that I didnt know was there. BRAVO!!!!!!!

    I rate these babies a 9.75 out of 10:D:D:D

    Awesome man!

Glad you are digging them. Pretty beefy driver!

This is my favorite driver pic I can remember coming across --

This is out of Wilson Audio's 21,000 dollar Thor subwoofer.

I would need Two ULtra-13s for a fair comparision. The Klipsch is a
dual sub system. I have a buddy that has a Ultra-13 on the way.

When I get back into HT --

The subs in my system will hands down be the VMPS Larger Sub -- at minimum 2 of them, at most 4 of them --

1000 watts going to each sub...

Each sub is rated at 120db at 20hz - all day.

The drivers are nothing impressive to look at. Neither is the sub itself -- but it utilizes an active 15,12 and a passive 15" in a push pull configuration -- with a slot loaded bass for insane output and extention.

Not to mention probally the most accurate bass you will hear...

There are so many subs out there in that price range...
