I'm hopeful a member of the Committee will be able to make an announcement in the coming weeks about registration pricing for this event.

    I would say: 1st SVS Ultra-13 brand new....$1599.00:D x2
    2nd Epik Conquest brand new....$1599.00:D x2
    3rd Klipsch THX Ultra 2 new....$4100.00:)

After 6months of comparing my Klipsch THX Ultra2 subs with my Buddies
Ultra-13 and another Buddies Epik sub, Im very happy with my choice:D

danz, let me get this straight, you are thinking of trading both your THX Ultra 2's + cash for the SVS?

All I can say is see post #77. I guess it's only money, so what ever floats your boat. I guess it could come down to how much more $$ it would be/how much (if any) improvement you get. Or is it a space issue between 2 versus 1?

Or did I read it wrong and your friend is the one adding the cash.

The used price for my Klipsch Thx Ultra2 subs are in the Range of $1850-
$2200. The newer Ultra-13 is in the range of $1200-$1350 used. I got a great
price on my Klipsch from a local seller. The owner of the SVS Ultra 13 is a good friend, and he always wanted the Klipsch subs.

So how does the dual Klipsch set up compare to the Ultra? It must be pretty close if you are interested in the Ultra. A single Ultra can really slam.:)

I think that the dual Klipsch is a lil better, but the reviews and Charts say that
the Ultra-13 goes lower and plays louder.

Actually, the Kilpsch are -3 dB at 20Hz. The Ultra is flat to 18Hz (in 20Hz mode), and 14 Hz(in 15 Hz mode). I've meaured pretty good output at 13Hz with my duals. I've never seen any third party measurements of the THX subs , but I'd wager dual Ultras would crush the Kilpsch set-up there, in both output and extension.:)
Here's my in room response of the duals in 15Hz mode:

The numbers on the Ultra-13 are impressive!

LOL! :) I actually love the extra little bit of slam I get running the duals in 20 Hz tune. It's good down to 17Hz in my listening area with about 3-4 dB more output from 20-40 Hz centered at about 30 Hz compared to that FR. That's my preferred tune for music/movies acually. I use 15 Hz occasionally. I just like having the extra headroom afforded from the 20 Hz tune.

Im comparing a SVS Ultra-13 with my Klipsch Thx Ultra2 dual subs.
So far Im impressed with the Ultra-13 output. I think that two Ultra-13s
    would be just Bananas!
Im comparing the Ultra-13 in the 20hz mode for now, I will also try out the

The Ultra-13 is Very impressive, I find that in my room that the 15hz
mode at 0 phase works well. Although the 20hz mode has more output
the 15hz is what I prefer for now.
I would say that the Two Ultra-13 would be a lil better than the Klipsch
Thx dual subs as far as output and going a lil lower in the bass.

SVS have a Winner with the Ultra-13:D:D:D

    Now whats next,the Ultra 16???
