Sherardp, do you feel you're too tall/big for the 1000RR? I have only put 140 miles on mine now (it was raining for 4 days straight when I got it) but I can tell this is a fantastic bike. I have driven quite a few sport bikes but always felt uncomfortable with them but not with this one. It is light but very stable, that electronic dampener really does work. 435lbs on the CBR1000RR vs 410lbs on CBR600RR, it really is a 1000cc in 600's clothes, so if you're a large man it probably isn't for you.
The scariest part is that I am not scared to push it.
And the only reason I got it was because I couldn't pass up a good deal...lucky me! -

I'm 6'4 so the CBR does feel a tad bit small to me. Never really been a CBR fan anyway. I heard this yrs model is very good though. I'll shoot for the R1 next yr or just go with the untamed Z10 and hope its just as wild as they say it is and see what she does.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Then it definitely isn't an every day bike for you. For track it would be a great fit but I don't see a 6'4" driving it regularly on the street.
