As long as there is no special sauce on the pie I am good for seconds:)
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Supposing the special sauce was of a type that is World Class? Would that change anything?

Well from the land down under, I am awaiting the delivery of an XPA-2, XPA-5 and an RPA-2 - I don't give a rats arse for the snobbish types who will only buy "name" brands - I am getting all of these for less than a Rotel RMB-1095 retail here in Oz, so in my eyes, I am willing to try Emo and believe they are a very credible company - and I am getting 9 channels and not 5 too boot. Like the numerous previous threads, don't bag something until you have tried it!

So just because I don't own a Corvette doesn't mean I can't talk about them? I know quite a bit about them, and I can name the year and model of just about any Corvette that I see...I've read several books about them...and I've driven several of them before. Thanks for telling me that I can't talk about them just because I don't own one. I'm going to have to completely change the way I think now after reading that post.

Yes, you can talk all day long about Corvette but when you talk to Corvette owners about their cars, they wonder WTF you are talking about.

BTW you can talk all day long about SDA speakers too:(
Really? I always thought it was the opposite. I was under the impression that they presented a very difficult load to drive because of the complexity of the XO's. Thanks for informing me of my mistake.

LOL! 443? But knowing us we could do it.

I still agree with Emotiva's business policy. You want to be a flake, do it with someone else. Hell, even B&M stores have restocking fees for these kinds of inciddents.

Oh yeah, I'll take a slice of apple!:D

I don't understand the hostility here. How is the kid supposed to learn if he can't talk about topics? He was mistaken about the sensitivity of SDAs and now has been set straight. I think he's better off engaging in conversations the way he does so that he can learn, that is what this Club is about.:)

Umm...right. I've talked to quite a few Corvette owners about their cars before. They were quite engaging conversations on more than one occasion too. I'm pretty sure that people who own cars like that don't mind talking about them. They own them for a reason...because they like them. I don't see how not owning a Vette is going to make a Corvette owner not want to talk to someone about them.

me-"Hey that's a nice Vette you got there!"

Corvette owner-"Do you own a Corvette?"

    me-"no."

    Corvette owner-"Shut the hell up."

Does that make sense to anyone else?

As to the SDA comment...I posted some misinformation, which I was corrected on. That's how people learn dude. You ask questions, and people correct you when you are wrong.

Well I must have passed the quiz then I guess. He went back home, and I didn't get kidnapped, so I guess I'm all good. The only question I missed was "SDA's are made by Polk Audio? True or false". I said false...I don't know what I was thinking when I said that. I could have sworn they were made by Bose. Guess I was wrong though. Don't kick my **** Supra.

On a side note...I have the Cambridge DVD89 now...I'm very very impressed with it. Just got done with the DSOTM SACD...and I was blown away. I'm hearing all sorts of nuances that I've never heard before.

    Hey Shack,

As for the extra 7 channels - XPA-5 will look after centre and surround duty, and zone 2 for my outside speakers on my deck (where the barbie is :D) - picked up a pair of used Polk RT-5's for that recently. Then for the LSi9s, they will get either the RPA-2 or XPA-2, whichever sounds better with them, as music is my main concern. I am also upgrading to LSiC and LSi7s, so I'll need the external amps for those anyway.

As for Emu, yep it has been known that we cook one of our national icons
