Thanks, that'd be great. Maybe you can set up a little section for us - The Great Unwashed or Orphaned Audio.

Audiokarma.org has dedicated sections for folks into Marantz, McIntosh, Sansui, Klipsch, etc.

(Unfortunately, I never e-mailed him, only pm'd, and carver forum would just send you a notification that you have a pm, but not contents of that pm).

Another Carver refugee here. I was wondering what was going on.
Didn't see any of the closed msgs mentioned. Don't have any Polk
stuff yet. Hope to fix that someday soon.

If anybody knows how to get ahold of Obi, I'd be glad to incorporate his equipment database into my forum.

If anybody has any ideas for forum topics, I'll add them too. I have only 16 members and a blazing 26 posts (most from me) but if people are going to go there it would be nice to have topics set up......

    Guess who?

If I need to actually OWN some Polks to be on here, I may have to sell of some of my other speakers to make room... ;)

I'm just another Carver refugee in withdrawl, and without a CLUE as to what went down over there. I phones Treitz earlier this evening, and he's just as clueless as to what went down as everyone else. However, he did assure me that CarverFest '09 is still on, and will proceed even if we need to set it all up using a "phone tree".

I promise I won't post any political stuff over here. Hopefully those threads weren't the sources of the above-mentioned threats.

'Sup Dreamer, Steve and Thall! Glad to see you over here but I am saddened that it had to come to this in order to do it.

Viper, Anatech's information should be easily accessible. Keep us in the loop until you are able to get a hold of him. Jesse, I got your call. It's your serve.

Anatech(Chris) is a great guy. I learned much from him:)
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

    Rich,
Could you help ViperZ get in touch with Anatech over at that diyaudio.forum? I'm not a member there so can't PM him.

That Carver Forum was set up really nice - why not use the same basic format? Assuming they don't just open the damned thing up tomorrow!

If I remember correctly it was Gallery, New Users/Welcome, List Your System, Buy Sell for Newbies (that's all of us, ha, ha), Carver Audio, Carver Theater, Carver Repair, Carver Auto, some stuff in the middle, CarverFest 07, 08, 09, Database, New Products/Gone Forever, Where's Bob?, Sunfire Audio, Sunfire Theater, Buy/Sell/Trade Forum Deals Carver, Sunfire, Other, eBay/Audiogon Carver, Sunfire, Super Deals, OCCD section, Misc. Just cruised over to the Carver forum a second ago. There is now a link to "the story" What is written below is what the link says.....

For those looking for answers... here it is.

The forum has been closed due to someone making numerous threats of coming to FL and bringing
"The Boys" to take care of us...
I have much more important things to do with my time than worry about some psycho and what he's going to do.

The forum was supposed to be FUN... Well it's not any more, It's work, and then, throw a couple **** in the mix... makes me not even want to bother with it.

If and when I decide to set the forum back up, there will be NEW RULES.
I don't have time for this childish crap, and will not tolerate it.

You'll find no Carver fanatic here but the loss of that forum, under those circumstances, is just messed up. I hope it gets back online and beings I'm also a member, in absentia :), would gladly kick in a couple bucks to keep it running in some form or another.

I know the members that are active on both forums are big fans and that's good enough for me.

I was wondering if anyone would catch that.
Just a suggestion, don't know if all of the **** counted or not.
There was also an Equipment Reviews section - Carver, Sunfire, Other.
I'll work on a Sunfire Database tomorrow, I guess Excel is okay?

I think that thread referred to "audio-****"--you know, six-digit turntables, tube amps that you could barbeque with, speakers as big as refrigerators, as well as "topless" pics of various Carver gear, like amps and preamps with their case-tops removed. I posted several "topless" pics of my Silver 7t's there when I had it open to replace a faulty RCA jack that had been damaged in transport.

In other words, no "body parts" just exposed chassis.

If big banks of capacitors and naked Magnetic Field coils are your particular kink, this thread was HOT... ;)

I doubt it. Maybe he longs for the Silver Six or Seven tube amps though.

You let your son try that BBE with the Sunfire or did you hide it?
