Not this senior member. All of this is BS. That was my stompin' ground. I guess there won't be a Carverfest this year. Damn shame, whatever happened though. I've got a lot of friends over there that I have loved to chat with over the years. Many of them are members of this forum as well so for me, it's not a total loss. Still a bummer though.

We would have been closed a LOOOONG time ago if we decided to take that same route. Good thing I live in Baltimore...I have more of a chance of getting killed downtown then by any of you yahoos.

Who wants to kill you? We just want to hug you! That's why we sit in the bushes outside Polk HQ, watching, waiting, in our assless chaps and Chewbacca underoos, sipping Logan Nut drinks, waiting...well, ok, only some of us do that...alright, alright, I'm the only on who does that, well doro is usually right next to me but he waits for Matt. The only annoying part is when he doesn't shave and has a hang over. He scratches his week old beard with sticks until he bleeds muttering things about lice and his precocious, whoever the hell that is.

Maybe someone should hose him off?

This sucks! Treitz, no need for the Fest to end, You're the man there. Hopefully this can all get resolved soon. If not, we can certainly start up another forum. Give me a call sometime bud and we can discuss.

One of theCarver transplants here. I noticed that on the 'site closed' statement they left contact info for Carver repair by Rolland, Bob and Rita, but left me out.

I guess I know where I stand with those guys :(

Yep I tried to log on to the Carver forum yesterday afternoon, and it said it was down for maintenance. Tried again this morning and couldn't logon. Tried later and saw the message closed indefinately due to threats. I never heard of any rumblings of anybody making threats and can't really see what in the world anybody would be making threats about.:confused::confused::confused:

Hey Snarf!! Good to see you over here!! But.....if you don't got no Polks you gots to leave NOW!!! JK:D This $hit took me by surprise, I knew OBI was "disgruntled" about the mods and those @#$%&^ing polo shirts but he's in no shape to carry out any physical violence:eek: Anyway welcome!!!

Rich, I'll see what I can do to get your repair services put up on the site bro'. What you do is incredible and a valuable service to the now defunct Carver community. Skip, I gotta run right now but we'll talk soon enough. As for the 'fest, I'd still like to see it happen, come hell or high water. To much fun to miss out on!

From what I have observed, he's gotten nothing BUT positive fedback from every customer of his, and for good reason too.

I have his old tuner and 3 of his amps - guess I'm a satisfied customer.

mk II unit #9 went up for sale today, and I'm booked doing upgrades until April. Owner's have been very happy so far.

My site has a forum, BTW, not often visited, and most of the posts are information on the mk II's, but if CarverAudio.com people want to migrate over there, I can gen up some topic headers while we wait......

gdb, Yep I knew a lot of you guys hung out over here, so I figured I'd mosey over and see if i could find out what was really going on. The only thing I knew anybody was upset about was the polo shirts, and i didn't think that was enough to threaten violence. Sorry I don't own any Polks, but I will trade some cerwin vegas for a pair of Polks

Well, it's not a repair service so much as an upgrade service (although I'll upgrade/fix broken units), and I only work on the three models; maybe that's why he left me out.

Wish I had the money for another amp - have to get my MMGs fixed as Fido's urine knocked out the upper frequencies on one speaker.
Rich, did you get that tube amp schematic I sent you?

Rich, interested in building that sucker?
You think the MMGs are bad, the little rat ran upstairs and hosed down a 1.6 on Friday. No damage other than a stain from the little ****. The girls think he's wonderful, I think he'd make a nice lump in a boa constrictor.

Also spelled Logon or Longon. Vietnamese noodle houses in Chinatown in Philly have it listed in the menus as Logon Nut Drink or Logan Nut Drink or just Logon Drink. I've seen it in cans in Asian markets too.
