Well Monday morning is the big day. Me ACL surgury is upon me. While I know its routine surgury its still making me a bit nervous. The Dr said its about 60 to 90 minutes to get done and should be home before lunchtime. They are putting in a cadaver ACL in me which is the quikest recovery time. I just hope he doesn't pull a Tom Brady on me and I get an infection. Please send some good thoughts my way. I can use them.

Good luck :) its the Anterior Cruciate Ligament Sal.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Sorry to hear that man...surgery is never fun. I tore an ACL back when I was in high school...it wasn't a fun injury. I recovered from the surgery pretty quickly though.

    Hope ya get better soon.

It's always the damn knees. It's like we where designed with a flaw. Why can't se get an upgrade??? Over the years man has had bad knees. I don't know hardly any man that doesn't have knee problems including myself.
You are getting yours fixed, this is a very very good thing. I hope everything turns out for the better. It should as I have heard there has been so many advancements in Knee repair. You should be in good hands.
I'm looking forward to reading about your recovery. I'm gonna go under the knife as well one day when I get around to getting my knee checked out. It hurts me from time to time as I have Injured it about 16 years ago at Tiger Showman's Gym right before I started Training in Kung Fu.

    Best wishes Brother,

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Dan I will let you know how the recovery goes. The Dr said with the cadaver graft instead of doing the hamstring graft I should be back to 80-90 percent within 2 months.

Well, at least it's not like brain surgery or something. If it was, I'd probably have to sell tickets to CP members to be able to poke your brain and see what we can get to jump!

It's ACL surgery dude, you'll do fine.

As long as it's not a zomibie ACL they are putting in you. That would be bad and we'd have to mobilize the anti-zombie force.
