    Good luck man.

I'm still on the mend from back surgery. Just take things easy and do as the doctor says.

Well I am home from the hospital. The Dr said the surgury went really well. He also fixed some miniscus damage that I had. I have a big metal brace on and I am hooked up to a cooler that circulates cold ice water around my knee. I also have a tens unit as well. I am in pain but not alot the did a nerve block on me so my leg almost feels dead untill it wears off sometime tonight. I am happy that its over and im back home. Now the road to recovery.

Hobbyguy welcome to the club I will shoot you a PM if i have any questions.

    Good news.

Did they give you any drugs - those can be good. But, please stay away from the alcohol (even beer) when taking that potent stuff...you don't need to go celebrity actor on us.

Good luck w/ the recovery- be careful with those percocets... they give a lot of people nausea, and you're not gonna win any races to the porcelain finish line :)

    Break a leg!

Oh, I guess that's the wrong thing to say here, huh? Maybe your dog can hump your leg tonight and you'll feel better. Was that better? :D

I remember falling from a ladder 6' breaking my elbow. Well shatted my elbow bone like a glass, in many pieces. The doctor said about 1 hour to put repair me, he opened my elbow it took him like 2.75 hours. I had 2 screws in my elbow to put it back. Talk about pain..... I loved anything that had a name of *set :)

Hopefully they provided you with a polar care (or similar cooling device), if not ask for one. Ice really improves swelling and for most it relieves pain. Orthopaedics is my hobby but it is also my profession. When you are well enough Dave let me know ...I am interested in purchasing 2 of your speaker wires 10'. They are to connect either LSI 15 or SDA-1B (not yet sure which set I am going to use) to a yamaha RX-V2700.

Had my first rehab today and got my first real look at my knee. I have 3 small incisions and its quite swollen which i expected. My main issue that im having is the percoset making me nauses and do not want to eat and when i do eat it all tastes like ****. i have another therapy session tomorrow morning. Its going to be a slow road to recovery.

Thanks to everyone here for all of the well wishes I really appreciate it.

Dave, I think your recovery will be faster then you think, hang in there. If not in a lot of pain back off the drugs during the day to see if your appetite doesn't come back. I needed the must drugs at night so I could sleep. :)
