I can understand that. Out here you can buy up to 1gb of bandwith, mainly businesses but it is offered to residents. I was thinking about switching but they would have to come run a new line to the house and I just don't think I could use all that. Even now with a 100MB fiber line, I can't use it all. I have to tell you though, fiber screams "FAST"! I see Verizon has FiOS, up to 50MB, not sure how good it is.

    FiOS
    513994408.png

I have to dbl check which plan I'm on. I thought it was the 15 down 5 up plan, but I'm obviously getting more than 15.
hmmm. Maybe I have the 25 down 15 up plan but somethings not tuned right. hmm again...

I would have never thought that would make that much difference. I get about the same speed on my desktop direct connected as I do wireless to my laptop. (desktop is 13.46 down and 3.03 up)

Very jealous. I hate timewarner, I'd switch to Fios if they'd offer it here.

It is SO frustrating how FICKLE the connection here on campus is.

I just ran the test and got these numbers:
    712329097.png
That's amazing...I would definitely LOVE to have a regular connection like that. Or even a third of that. But last night I ran the test and was getting about 0.65Mbps down.

Mine would be 28.8 MBPS down and 7 MBPS up, comcast must not have finished upgrading in all their areas yet.
