    Here is my thought.
Curt has them and when finished either they will go to messiah or kawizx9r. You guy are in the Chicagoland area so that makes it convenient. If you guys can arrange it that would be great.
I will be busy at sensitivity school this next week so will be real busy.

Don't even sweat it, makes more sense for all parties involved to keep them closer to Curt. It would be nice to get my hands on them now, but would be more money in the long run to ship them way out to me and then back to Chicago later. It's up to you Boss, but I am willing to wait if it makes more sense logistically. I can wait until after they are done with them. :-)

I appreciate the chance to get in on these. Whatever way we decide to go about it if it were the case to stay in Chicago between us for the time being I'll wait until after Messiah is done. Still undecisive about what pre/pro and amp

    Muncybob-You've got a PM.

I can't wait to get my hands on them.:)

I've often wondered about directional wires...I have my doubts about whether or not it would actually make a difference which way it's connected. I can see it with certain wires, such as MIT's, with the network boxes, or the AQ DBS cables. I may have to try the cables both ways to see if I can detect any differences.

Has anybody noticed any difference in SQ with the wires connected in "reverse"...I didn't.
Yep, my name really is Bob.

The following came from the Audioquest web site. I figured I'd cut and paste it for you guys to read. Be sure to hook them up correctly if you want to hear the best performance they have to give.
Directionality: All cables are directional, from hardware store electrical cable to the finest pure silver
cables. All AudioQuest cables are marked for direction. With other cables it might be necessary to simply
listen to the cables in one direction and then the other. The difference will be clear-in the correct
direction the music is more relaxed, pleasant and believable. While cable directionality is not fully understood,
it is clear that the molecular structure of drawn metal is not symmetrical, providing a physical
explanation for the existence of directionality.

Doesn't matter to me if Kawizx9r gets em first, but it would be fun to see what different cables do for the Tsi-500's I have for the demo.

Naw, if you were in line before me you should get them first I can wait. Power switch (or some capacitor connected to it) on my Moscode just went out so need to get it fixed beforehand. I was planning on demoing these cables on my 2chan setup and not the HT.

To decide which of you gets them first, I propose 9 rounds of bare knuckle boxing.

    GO!!

    j/k

Messiah will get them first, since he was already in line. Doing this as logistically as possible makes more sense.

Sure thing. I should be done with them in a few more days.

I still want to try turning the cables around, so that they're going the "wrong" direction. I want to see if it actually makes any difference.

I haven't hooked them up yet, as my back went out and need a day or two before I can move my gear and get in there to hook the up, but looks like the bananas are holding up nicely!

The bananas seem to be holding up very well. I didn't have any issues with them. The connections were nice and tight. Looks like you did a real good job on the termination.

Yeah Kawi, we should get together sometime! In the mean time, here is what I'm going to be comparing the cables to:

A: M*nster (edited in case there were kids watching over your shoulder. gotta keep it clean ya know :D ). These are their THX SP 16 gauge, and retail for about 50 cents a foot. I've had them a couple years, and they have been ok, but I expect to hear a real difference.

and a couple things I picked up this week:

B: Audioquest FLX 14/4 . I couple folks here swear by them, and even say they out perform cables that cost quite a bit more. They are used mostly for custom installs, being that they are rated for in wall installation. I'll have them terminated with nanners on both ends.

C: Kimber Kable 4tc . Once again, I've heard nothing but good things. They will be terminated with nanners too.

    And of course....

D: Audioquest Type 4. The Demo cable. Nothing but good also, and nanners.

So, as this started out, the original intention was for people who had entry level cables to be able to try out something that was better enough for you to be able to hear the difference. I consider my M*nsters (once again, for the kids :D ) entry level, and expect to hear the difference. The other cables arrived only days before the Type 4's, and haven't really had the chance to get into my system. So yeah, I thought it would be fun to have a 4 way shootout.... to be continued ;)

Nice, I'll be testing them on my SDA's only that are currently running Belden 5000. Can't wait to hear the difference! And that averages .98 cents a foot.
