I just got a set of the refurb RTi A3s yesterday via Polk Direct. Came out to ~ $190/shipped ($219 + $20sh + NJ 7% sales tax - 25% Live.com cashback). These are also spotless.

I've got them on 26-inch steel stands ~ 7 feet apart (8" off the back wall), ~ 9 feet from me as Marvin Gaye's What's Going On?, Elliott Smith's Figure 8, The Band's Music From Big Pink, Massive Attack's Mezzanine, and Queens of the Stone Ages' Lullabies to Paralyze circle through the changer. I like what I hear. They have a lot of low-end weight. I don't have a pair of RTi6 around to compare them against, but they might sound more refined.

Now they have LSi7s for $349. That's incredible, but I'm a rock and roll bluesman at heart and like my punchy RTis.

How does the Live.com cashback work? Can you use it with Polk direct and/or eBay store?

I ordered my RTi A7's this past Saturday. I got an email yesterday saying my items have shipped via Fed ex, but then i just got a call today from Con-way Freight. The lady from Con-way Freight called to let me know my items will be arriving on monday, and asked what a good time would be for someone to deliver them. I thought that was kind of odd, but i don't really care who brings them to me as long as i get them haha.

I would of probably had them by friday, but since polk was not open on monday i'll have to go through this weekend without them. Man, i was hoping to watch some movies this weekend using my new speakers, bummer. But at least i'm getting them soon, so that's a plus.

Yeah, the lady from Con-way actually called me back again just to confirm the time frame in which i said i'd be home, real nice woman.

I'm not usually excited for the weekend to come and be over with so soon, not usually a big fan of mondays either, but this monday will be the exception, part of me wants to take a vacation day haha. :D

I am buying RTi A5's refurbished for 380$, 470$ shipped right now. They have 2 more black and a few cherries still in stock. Ordering refurbished on the phone definitely works.

He said I should have them next week. I can't wait!!

I was going crazy checking polk direct everyday. I had been calling my wife from work after their listing times, to see if they had them.
I'm so glad I read this thread. Thanks you all.

Blame it on the way the seller listed it. I've seen listings where, as you described, once a bid is made BIN is no longer available. However the seller has the option to leave BIN in place for the duration to satisfy those like yourself, who may want to bid, or outright buy it.
I've seen polkdirect list there items several ways. Seems like they are experimenting with the best way to sell the product and still make a decent profit.

Have you tried calling them yet to see if they will just sell you one over the phone? ;)

    Greetings,

Just placed my order on the phone for a pair of RTi A3's in black.

    Here's how it went down:

A lady answered, I asked about refurbished products that weren't listed on eBay... was immediately transferred to a guy (Kim was his name).

I was quoted higher prices than the Buy It Now on eBay, but I told him the BIN eBay price and he had no problem selling them for that price. :) ~$250 total after shipping & tax.
I've been watching the eBay store obsessively for a month...and the last time I called they didn't have any A3's in stock. FINALLY!

Also, they still have 1 set of RTi A5's in black...give them a call!
