Hello,

I just put together a RTiA5 system with the CSiA6 center.
RTiA5 Fronts
RTiA5 Rears
CSiA6 center.

How much break in time is needed with the RTiA series?
How would you characterize the Polk RTiA sound?

Cheers

    Hello,

I love the Odyssey Mono-SE amps.
The Mono-se has a smooth top-end with great low-in( VERY MUSICAL).

Congratulations danz, that looks like a great system, and you cleaned the carpet very carefully, it seems, before putting that all up! I don't know those speakers, so I cannot comment, but I am sure another member will answer your question soon. I do have a question though: any subwoofer included?

Welcome to the club, and congratulations!

Great looking system Danz. I would characterize the RTiA series as forward, detailed and with excellent midrange punch. The gear involved may change the overal tonality so that's just a subjective observation.

Kex - I do the same thing when I take pictures of my rig,lol :D
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I use the A5's for home theater and the 9's I use for music in the same room. I have the A9's running off a different pre and amp so when the guys are over playing Madden 09 we can listen to a little music while I kick their butt. They both can be a little bright at times. The Adcom helps alot with the brightness IMO. Overall I'm very happy

I bet they sound pretty good in there!! They will take a little bit to break-in.

What are your thoughts on them? What else were you looking at?

    Curved,

Yes, the speakers need much more break-in time.
The RTiA5 sound on the BRIGHT side right now and not as open as they
should be. I think after break-in they should sound Very-Good.

    Hey Nickolas812,

I see that your an Odyssey guy also. Klaus makes some great equipment.
    I use a Primare Pre-30 pre-amp, very smooth sounding.
How would you characterize the sound of the Canedela pre-amp?
How do you like the Odyssey-Polk combo sound?

The Candela is very extended in high frequency's, dead quite and super smooth. When I say dead quite, I mean dead quite. At any volume. There is no background noise/hiss what so ever. It makes for some extremely detailed music.By far the best pre I have ever owned!

The Odyssey amp and Candela is like a match made in heaven. With the rich warm sound of the Khartago and the extended sweetness of the Candela. Its perfect. At least for me it is....

    Cheers

    I absolutely love the Taylos...

Had them a year and a half now and they are what I would consider the "perfect" loud speaker for what they cost and what they can do...

Their performance for the money is amazing. They mate VERY well with Odyssey as well..

    And thank you! :)
