My brother and I still bust out the N64 every now and then for a late night GoldenEye session. Still as fun as it ever was. Man... I used to see fist fights break out over that game. And if I close my eyes, I can still picture every nook and cranny of the Facility.

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I used to see maps in my head when I closed my eyes to go to sleep after marathon sessions with the neighbors lined up to play. I also used to sit in class sometimes and run through maps in my head, looking for new strategies and ambush areas.

Geez, i fell dorky for even saying all that out loud...

Can anyone still beat Library on GoldenEye 007 in under 1:30 or whatever for the Silver PP7? I remember doing that level over and over.

Jungle was a pain in the **** to beat on 007, too.

Maybe we just need to create a GoldenEye 007 thread :)

Extremely well done sequel to Casino Royal, this one really digs deep into Bond, who he is, how he deals with his emotions and his actions of what he does and how it all affects him. This one is very different from CR but just as good.

Plus, it was very nice to see the opening song have all those lovely women like all the Bond films from the past did.

Watched it this evening. It sucked. I liked Casino Royale, but this one wasn't good at all. Choppy, boring story, and the last action scene was unremarkable, at best. The girl was cute, though.

Just FYI, I watched QoS last night (first viewing since I saw in theaters).

I actually liked it quite a bit better the second time around. The jumpy plot was easier to follow and therefore I was able to better enjoy the action and visuals more.

Very good picture, even in SD. Sound was pretty good, too, although I was only watching in my 2.1 bedroom setup.

I'm bumping it up from 5.5/10 to 7.0/10 in my book. Still some big time flaws and poor editing / storyline in parts, but better the second viewing.

I sometimes find my initial thoughts on some movies are wrong. It takes going back the 2nd time & catching some stuff I missed the first time around that ends up changing my opinion on it.

Nice reveiw Ron. From what you have said, I will probably enjoy it very much. For ME, movies should be about the characters, not how many car chases & explosions happen within a 2 hr time frame.

I never cared for Roger Moore as James Bond. I think it is because I remember the T.V. series, "The Saint" and Simon Templar was definitely not in the same league as a Sean Connery James Bond.

For those who think of Roger Moore as the #1 James Bond, may I recommend "The Saint" on DVD, available from Amazon.

THE James Bond ? Sean Connery, hands down. Daniel Craig does a fine job, although I would prefer to see the producers add a little more refinement and a little less bang-bang-shoot-'em-up.

I just watched QoS again last night...it was a little better the second time around, but I still wasn't really impressed by it.

They put way to much focus on the mile a minute action sequences...and barely put any focus into the grainy, scattered storyline. It was alright as an action flick...but not as a Bond movie. The Bond movies of old were more talking and sneaking around...picking up the chicks...getting info. All leading up to the big action sequence at the end. This one didn't really do it for me. The soundtrack was great...and it looked really good(despite being on my crappy CRT TV).

It was better than Casino Royale IMO. I still don't like Daniel Craig as Bond though really...He's better than George Lazenby and probably about equal to Timothy Dalton in my book.

It was because I grew up watching reruns of The Saint that I fell in love with Roger Moore (and that great car he drove) that I got excited when he took over as Bond.

It truly is a matter of who played Bond when we were growing up that determines who our favorite one is.

I never saw first run Sean Connery Bond films, it was only later watching them run them on TV that I discovered there was a Bond before RM.

But all bring their own distinctive flair to the role.

I have to go with some of you above. Rented the film this last weekend. Choppy, action for the sake of action--disjointed editing, sloppy. I ended up grading papers during the film, something I never do if I'm engaged?

I grew up with Sean Connery, so to me, he is "Bond". I don't mind Roger Moore. Always seen Pierce as a bit whimpy. Choice of Craig, I understand in terms of the post-modern obsession with anti-hero, conflicted being, tadatadatada...'complexity, they call it, nuanced......varied grey-scales rather than black and white. More human face, foilbles, weaknesses...should I go on. This concern with 'complexity' in the Modern age is in some ways as intellectually superficial as its EXACT opposite since it is so predictable a position; a simplistic response that rejects the early Bond in a totalistic manner.

O.K. enough of my intellectual drivel....I have enough of this in my field. Simply...

    Sean is the 'man'!

Watched the rental last night with the wife and this one is a boring, sucking, hollow content, and no motive whatsoever. The only weapon Bond in this flix wield is Revenge in mind. Except from the super high tech phones and super large on-screen displays, this film is far from any High Tech bond movie. Even the Bond's ride is not holding up to the role as in the other Bond movie and very unimpressive.

The whole casting and editing could be a lot better and there are a lot of disconnected parts in the whole movie. This one is named "Sucker Bond No.2" since Casino Royale!

I don't know, I guess I don't expect so much since Sean, but Craig is the best since. They're developing his character in a modern world, not the early 60's. I'm sure that, as the franchise moves on, he'll become the soft cuddly Bond.

I enjoyed the movie and CR. Can't wait to see how the new 00 agent develops now that he's gotten over Vesper. Can't wait till Q gets involved in modding the Aston Martin with some friggin bulletproof glass and some armor plating, plus a few more hi-tech gadgets besides a defibrillator and med kit.
