Id run down to your local audio or tuner shop and see what theyve got.

I dont know if the 701 controller will mount in a double din cause Ive never tried it. As a guess Id say it should.

The 701 controller will mount in a double din location along with a din sized head unit. It should come with the hardware to mount it.

ok the polk sr 124 dvc come wired at 2 ohm, correct? If i install two of them in the same box and wire them together i either get 4 ohm or 1 ohm , correct? Now the pa 1200.1 puts out 1200w rms @ 1 ohm, the two subs wired together would be rated for 1400wrms @ 1 ohm. I was planning in running one pa 1200.1 to each sub indepently, which would give me a total of 1600wrms, 800 per sub. if was was two wire the subs together should i bridge the two pa 1200.1 together, which would give me 2400wrms @ the ohm im not sure of. how should i wire these bad boys up, run them indepenently, or two 1200.1 bridged and just turn the gains down alot?

Ill put them up against anything out there. I dont think Polk speakers are the best in the world, but dollar for dollar they are and regardless of cost, the SR's will hold theyre own against the best in the world.

You have to remember tho that no speaker will sound good if you install and/or tune them poorly but a mid level speaker will never sound great no matter how well you install them or tune them but a great quality speaker, like the SR's, can sound awesome if done right.....and sound pretty damn solid out of the box too.

If youre going to use 2 1200.1's then get 2 SR124DVC's and wire each one per amp. That would be 2 ohms per amp and 800 RMS per sub.

Sounds like a good shop. Any shop that supports and participates in competition is one I support and is usually a better shop because theyre out there putting their stuff to the test.

Your local shop can usually give you better deals if you talk with them. Tell them what youre looking for and what youre willing to spend and you may be surprised. Plus, if theyre going to do the install for you they may give you a discount on the gear.
