-
Feb 26th content added - NIN 3-pack!
-
Wow, a six-pack of Grateful Dead announced for next week!
-
I played Rock Band once and didn't like at all, not nearly as much as I did the Guitar Hero games. I honestly don't see the big hype in it.

I guess GH is fine if all you want to do is play guitar. Or you can get Rock Band and play guitar, drums, and vocals, plus get download content every week since release, instead of once a quarter, and have a great create-a-rockstar mode too. I own RB, GHII, and GHIII, for the record. -
Thanks for the list.
-
The Dead pack is great, for anyone on the fence!
-
Do you have to pay for these?
-
I have GH3, but Rockband does seem to offer much more DLC, which I'd love for GH3.
I am intrigued by RB, but the sound of someone playing the drums for more than 10 minutes is near maddening...2007 Club Polk Football Pool Champ

Wow, That is a crap load of DLC. I have been a big GH player since the start. There is a lot of cool titles there I think I am going to have to get this now!
I have been stuck with the PS2 version since I have 2 guitars for that already. This'll give me the kick to upgrade to the 360 there too!Home Theatre: Epson 5020ub, Elite Screen Sable Frame 100", Onkyo 818, Oppo BDP-103, Tivo Series 3, Xbox 360, Sealed Dual Sound Splinter RL-p 15" DIY sub powered by Behringer EP2500 with FBD, QSC RMX1400 powering LSi15, LSiC, LSiFX sides, and Lsi7 for the back, Technics SL-1200M3D -

There are a lot of mods online for quieting the drums, though I have not done any myself. -
hmmm...not a big fan of the DLC to come, but it is a pretty solid list that I am sure people will enjoy. Any of you play on the PS3?
-
Finally some new rock! And on the cheap too...99 cents each! Serj is going to be fun, and after checking out Black Tide, I'm really stoked. I guess their singer is only 15.
-
I downloaded My Sharona over the weekend, what a blast!
Shoe, seems like you have direct access to Harmonix, can I give you my wish list so that you can lobby them?I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie. -
Haha, no thanks! Try the Rock Band forums or more specifically Rock Band song request.

Thrash pack announced for next week!
-
Wow, six pack of Boston! This is what Rock Band is all about. It's going to be such a long weekend waiting for this! Also, if you haven't popped your Rock Band in recently, there is a major update for it that a Music Store menu option in-game for you to purchase Download Content (and preview it, if my thread isn't good enough
). Plus it is supposed to reduce load time for people with lots of DLC, and also adds some new genre listings for songs I noticed. Fan caps for BWT are also increased.

Nice! I'm am soo downloading this six pack. Thanks for keeping this thread up to date. -
No problemo. I just finished hard on guitar last week and now just Iron Maiden's Run to the Hills and (oh noes!) Molly Hatchet's Flirtin' with Disaster left on expert. Starting playing some drums more recently as well, and finished my easy career there today. I'm so scared of what RTTH and Green Grass & High Tides will be like on higher difficulties.

prepare yourself for Green Grass & High Tides on medium. I won't say that it is hard, it's just totally mental. I played it so many times before beating it that I got 5 stars on it the first time around on Hard. I'm at the next level after that on hard and can't seem to get those finished. I just don't have the whole foot thing off the beat down. I just don't have the rhythm to do those songs.
I started on expert on the drums and got the first few songs done pretty easily. Maybe that will help me with the harder songs on hard. -
The Boston is just a blast to play!

This week's song (a freebie) is up early for download...

Ditto. I was an early adopter. I got also GH on PS2.
RB with a full-band is a blast. DLC wise there is no contest. RB wins on every aspect: quantity, price, variety.
GHIII is harder and it's a good alternative for solo-play. Especially if you are more into metal.

I agree Flirtin' with Disaster was the toughest song on the guitar at Hard for me. I'm at middle Expert on the guitar.
2/3 of vocals on Hard.
1/4 of Drums on Medium (I just suck with the foot pedal ).
