You are entitled to your opinion.

And I am entitled to my opinion.

And my friend is entitled to his opinion.

Just because you like something, doesn't mean everyone else has to like it too.

    Peace dude.

Not at all. I am very interested in your opinion.

Hopefully he is going to sell his "friends" SVS sub so a lucky Polk member can get it at a fraction of the price since it's crap. lol

It's always the "friends" never their own.

It's his sub. Not mine. If he feels like he wants to get rid of it. Then it is his business.

What's up with the attitude. Like I smacked a holy cow on the head or something. Sheesh.

Oh no need to explain You are right and I am wrong. All this time I thought my Dual SVS subs kicked a$$ I guess I really just had no clue. Please carry on. I am learning so much.

I'm like you, Darla. I guess I was SOOOO... wrong to fall for that whole SVS thing. I'm going to chuck my PC Ultra 13 out with tomorrow's trash. If it's only capable of one note, what's the point of even keeping it?

Somebody needs to contact the Craigsub thread over at the AVS forum and let everybody know how wrong Craig was with his testing and the results he obtained for some of the SVS subs. You want to do it or should I?

Oh Darla...stop it now!! :) Now back to our regularly scheduled thread.

I have an SVS 25-31 plus cylinder sub & it kicks butt in HT duty. I tried to configure it for 2 channel also, but to no avail. Now in all fairness, I'm no expert in setting up a sub. It was probably more my lack of knowing what the hell I was doing than the sub itself. I often think about picking up a SMS-1 unit & give it another try.

Alright! While that was very amusing, I'm glad that we're back on track. I think that a question of mine got lost in the shuffle somewhere during all of the entertainment, so I'm going to repost it:

"So when we say "HT", are we really just talking about things mixed in multi-channel that contain an LFE track? So gaming in DD or DTS would be considered HT as well?"

I'm just wondering this because I spend 50% of my time gaming on a PS3 or 360 and the other 50 split pretty evenly between 2ch music and movies.

Also, would $900 be a good price for a PB12-Plus/2 or should I try to find one for cheaper?

Post #17 of this thread explains thing pretty good for ya'. Gaming would be IMO part of HT and for the last question, let someone else chime in.

Not sure if you're serious or not, but if these guys are out, I may be interested in the sub that your friend has for sale (if I can get it for cheaper than the one I am currently looking into).

What sub does he have that he is possibly willing to part with? We can talk through PMs if you'd rather do that...

    Thanks!

    Sold. Oh. Sorry.

Well, imagine how well the sale would go if he had put down his honest opinions of the sub "... it is okay for HT, but not so good for music..."

Oh, it's a PCi. Well, that figures then.

But the Plus series = sweet, especially with their newer woofers that fix some of the mid-bass issues earlier SVS subs had. I need to update my CS+ with the 12.3 woofer.

Really? Older SVS subs are, "bad?"

But I thought all SVS subs have had stellar online reviews.
