Looks like there's a nest of NC Polksters! Hell bent on world domination!
Welcome Mike. Sorry to hear about the bad Juju during shipping. Listen to these folks. They won't steer you wrong.

The crossovers looked intact to me, very clean, no dark/burn marks on them. That is what Polk told me to look for. They said if they look clean, they should be ok. I cannot wait!!!!!

Oh, I forgot to mention, I asked about the crossovers for my Monitor 7c and was told by Polk that they do not make them anymore. Seems odd.

Seems odd that Polk does make a crossover for a speaker that hasnt been in production in oner 15 years?

I think Polk is doing an excellent job keeping the older models up and running. Drivers still available for 20 year old speakers. Thats awsome in my book.

I know advances have been made in speaker design, but i wish polk would have kept the MW's in their current design.

I built a center channel with 2 mw6503's and a peerless tweeter. Its one of the best sounding center channels I have ever heard.

Well I was wondering what one would do if the crossover went bad? Would any crossover do?

I love the support that I am getting from polk, just asking the question.

What you do, is what 99% of us did, upgrade caps and resistors. But thats a whole other thread. Most of us did it with perfectly good xovers. I did mine with my 7's.

But if your happy, leave it be. Stop and enjoy, becuase once you get started, the madness never ends. I'm signing into AA (Audioholics Anonymous)

i'm not sure. but do the monitor 7C's. have fuses on the back of them? if they do.. check those, if they are burned up.. your tweeters will not work.

I just got my Monitor 7cs deliverd to me that I won on ebay and boy am I pissed off!!!!

Both tweeters do not work and only 1 of the mid drivers seem to be working. I took out the tweeter on one of them and I found the magnet to it just lying in the speaker, completely separated. My question is can I just put it back on or does this mean that the tweeter is blown? I am going to check out the other speaker and see what the problem is with it.

Man 200.00 and they sound like junk!!!!!!!!

You either have to resize them in some kind of editing software. Or change the setting on your camera if possible. Or go to photobucket online and register and you will be able to post pictures like I did. If you need more help send me a private message and I will walk you through it.

Well I did not know that, I wondered as I screwed in the screws. They are not buckling like I see in the pics you posted. Do you think Polk will send me new mids for free?

I backed out the screws and the speaker retained its original shape. Maybe I can make some cutouts around the screws? Not much room to work with.
