92 Volkswagen Passat GL with 260,000 miles on the 2.0 16V motor. That car is my baby and I will own it forever. 07 Rabbit 2.5 four door that has every factory option available except the lower body kit. The Passat has been modified with Oettinger big valve heads, a Neuspeed throttle body, high flow cat, no resonator and a Leistritz muffler. Stock, factory says 130 HP and about the same amount of torque, probably 145 to 150 on the top end now with no change in torque. The only suspension upgrades are teflon/stainless brake lines, German cross drilled rotors to shed heat and Pagid brake pads. The Rabbit will remain bone stock as I purchased it for economy and low emissions, it qualifies as a PZEV in CA.

Nice!!! Prior to my VR6 GTi I owned a 91 GTi 8V always wanted the 2.0 16V. I put 200K on that car. I recognize many of the mods you did to your 16V. My mechanic, who I've know over 20 years, still races a MK II GTi with the 2.0 16V race prepped motor as he believes it has the best combination of weight to power ratio and the least amount of emission control deletes and a very simple injection system (compared to today's complicated stuff). The last motor he built (probably about $6-7K) dyno'd at close to 180whp which is excellent for that motor.

One of my first cars out of HS was a 1977 Scirocco and from there I went to the original (84) GTi which had a Leistritz exhaust and was lowered, etc.

Anyways, enjoy your Passat and the New Rabbit

2008 Dodge Avenger - R/T version. Sharp looking car, with everything I could want in a car. 4 door convenience, but as fun to drive as a coupe. First car in a long time that I was actually excited about buying. The previous several cars I purchased have been more of me disliking a particular car the least.

1986 Olds Cutlass Supreme (Made this a Pro-Street car ran High 10's in the 1/4, Only took a built 327 punched out with three dueces to do it)
1993 Chevy Cavalier Z24. Worked this one also. Full suspension, brakes and tons of engine mods(Heads, Exhaust, intake, and chip. Had 285HP at the wheels.
Pontiac T1000 (Pontiacs highline version of the Chevette)
I also had a Chevy Chevette. Daily beater when I was broke.

    1 Crashed Car:
1995 VW Gold GLI 4dr. Hit a guardrail at 50mph. Not a scratch but the car was toast. I tell people it gave up it's life for me. A very honorable car. (This was workled to, Big stick cam, intake, exhaust and ignition module. Made about 210 WHP.

Look here for some info. He posted in post 24, and then I asked some questions so there's a little bit of info there.

    It's a Superformance.

2006 Honda Accord LX SE - daily driver, 32 to 34 mpg, yippee! Only mod is a K&N air filter

2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab - 5.4L V8, K&N air filter, tuned by someone who knows what they are doing, 19.2mpg to 20.2 mpg running at 2000 rpm/72 mph on the interstate.

2006 Harley Sportster Low - NRHS Hurricane Stage 1, a little tuning/jetting done by Radical Cycles, runs real good!

2002 Ford F350 extended cab - the farm truck, big diesel, big noise, get in my way and I'll bump you kind of truck.

2006 Yamaha Grizzly 660 ATV - K&N air filter, tuned real good, Warn 2500ci winch, lot's of fun!

2003 Yamaha 250WR dirt bike - Works suspension, BBR custom linkage, lowered so short guys like me can still put their feet on the ground, pretty much stock motor.

These are enough to continually keep me on the edge of trouble!

michael w audio is correct I started with a Superformance, its really not much of a kit car as it is preassembled less engine and transmission. We added a 93 mm intercooled turbo for **** and giggles. pic is the 71 torino.
Hypertone great bug, my first car that I rebuilt was a 62 mga,,, wish i still had it not that it would fit any more.

Sideways? Yes, you can. It's an AWD but with the amount of power it puts down getting it to slide isn't a problem, although not desired either. Much easier actually than the near stock M3 with half the power.
