You call that poor MPG?:p

For a small hatchback.........yes! I avg. about 18mpg but if I'm easy on the throttle I can get into the 20-21mpg.

This isn't a big SUV or 4x4 truck so I think it's pretty poor mileage, but I'm sure others have even worse mileage with their trucks and SUV's.

Starting to show it's age. Might dump it for a new TL. If I can find a 2007 CL new for cheap, I'll be all over it.

I hope you mean TL because they stopped making the CL with the 3rd generation. :)

How's the transmission on the CL holding up?

Funny you mention the transmission my girlfreind has a 2002 TL and is on her fourth transmission. She has only had it for 2 years I hope the 2005 and up TL's dont have the same problem because I was thinking of trading in my 1991 legend for a 2005 or newer TL. I may just keep the legend for a few more years it has been a great car no problems at all just turned 180,000 miles and a joy to drive.

yes, TL is what I meant. . .

Um, the transmission slipped once or twice between 2nd and 3rd, so I took it in for a checkup. They dropped in a new one, didn't charge me a penny (certified w/ warranty), and no problems since.

All in all, I liked my first Acura experience and will probably look at them for my next ride.

And no, I don't want to start anything. I'm just glad when I see someone still driving domestic cars.

Of course I knew why, but I don't think the topic of the thread was what domestics do you own. ;);).

We all know you wouldn't be buried in an Import (if there is such a thing nowadays). I wouldn't be buried in a domestic :p.

I'm really hesitant to reply to any of this, because I really don't want to be responsible for a derail, but I'm not anti-imports. I prefer domestics, in general, but I'd LOVE to have an RX-7, WRX STi, etc.

I just think it's a shame that so many people are avoiding domestics unnecessarily, imo.
