SRS interconnect cable

This question must seem stupid, but to be sure: On the interconnect cable
for SDA SRS's, does the blade actually connect to the other blade on the ends of the cable? And pin to pin? They aren't crossed are they. I am having to make a cable and I woke up in the middle of the night with this thought and cant put it to rest. Thanks

I think I just figured out that a switch in wires is made at the interconnect
    receptacle, according to the compendium.

The SRS's use a blade/blade cable and both wires carry a signal. Since you mentioned a pin, you can't have SRS's. In the pin/blade version, only the pin carries the signal unless it's the AI-1 version in which case both wires carry a signal.

Maybe he means one of the pin/blade SRS models (2.3TL, SRS 1.2, etc.)rather than the original SRS from 1985.

Raife, can you clarify for me that it is correct for my CRS+ blade/blade connections to be small blade left to large blade right? This is the only way I have gotten a homemade cable to work properly.

    Dennis,

If you look at the CRS+ schematic, you see that the blade connections are reversed at each speaker. Therefore, the small blade of one speaker connects to the large blade of the other speaker.

I haven't ever had an original SDA cable apart to see the crossing, but wiring it large to large/small to small sure sends the amp into protect mode.....

Yeah, I'm sure that's the case.......just trying to keep things straight to prevent any confusion down the road.
