Thanks for handling the flowers Russman.

I have the amps warming up already and at approximately 9:00 this evening I will play some music in Shane's memory. This may be a little hard so I picked up a few Miller High Life's to help me along. So long friend.

I've been searching posts, trying to find some tunes on his recommended list, someone mentioned Fleetwood Mac, so it's lined up.

I've got the Igloo cooler full of MHL and a pint of Jaeger, my Tennesse shot glass, and a bowl of pretzels laid out in the cave. Should be starting here in about an hour or so...

    Cheers,

I couldn't find any other favorite artists either.
    This is really weird.
Friday evening, out of the blue, I picked up a Fleetwood Mac CD and played almost the whole thing. I like them a lot but truthfully, it has been close to a year since I've played anything by them. I just realized this because I was looking for the Tusk CD and there it was, in the CD player. ohhhhhhhh.... I guess that will be my tribute CD.

Goddammit, why does this **** happen to the GOOD guys. I will see to it that he is NOT forgotten.

I look at my SDA CRS's, if it wasn't for that good ole boy (and Hoosier) I wouldn't have them... There isn't a better definition of KINDNESS, there isn't a WARMER person, someone that would take you into their home, just after a post or two on a Goddamn internet forum, and treat you like family.

My eyes are full of tears, and I don't give a **** what anyone thinks about that, this guy was one in a million. G'head and retire his jersey, no one will ever fill the present void.

Man, I sure hope there is a beyond, because my boy is up there effin with God's 2ch rig right now. I hope his family and friends can make it through the time they need to heal from this tragic, sudden event. I weep, God effin dammit, I EFFIN WEEP for Nascarmann....

Long live the King. Via con Dios my brotha....

    Har,

Thanks for finding his picture......very fitting. The big guy with the little dog, standing tall and making the mountains look so small.

I played all the Fleetwood Mac I have at maximum volume on the SDA's and raised a glass in his honor......I'm sure he heard it.

It will happen to all of us, just no telling when. Our life on this planet is but a flicker in time. All I could think about last night was Nascarmann and his sudden passing. Thanks for posting the pick. One of my all time favorite Bible verses...

I'm new to the Polk Club but Nascarmann had a big influence on me. His praise of the SDA1-C's is what made me buy a set from
ebay. He was right, I love my 1-C's! Last night I played
Rumours in his honor and it sounded incredible.
My prayers go out to him.

Just checking into this thread myself - wow. I won't pretend I knew Shane well - only as Nascarmann through this forum.

Nevertheless, what has profoundly impressed me is the genuine and sincere outpouring from you guys on this forum.

I say this without malice or sarcasm - you all give me hope for the human race. There really IS a sense of belonging and community on this site - you have all proved friendships can grow and flourish in ANY environment - even a virtual one.

Since I was late in checking here, today I will send a contribution to the American Heart Association in Shane's memory.

    Warmest Regards,

I have also been away for a few days and I am in disbelief. I live right around the corner from him ( so to speak) and had hoped that I would get to meet him sometime, have a beer , and listen to some tunes on his newest polks. I guess that was not meant to be. My heart felt sympathy goes out to all. You guys are the greatest and I also feel that I am part of one big family here, I also plan to make a donation to the heart association as well in memory of the nascarman. May god give you peace and rest, we will miss you here.

We're all probably thinking about different crap about this... it's hit me a lot harder than I expected (but then again how do you expect something like this ...). One thing that comes to mind is when I was graduating from high school, my father said something about enjoying the time, because as time progresses, we may know 500 people in school, 50 people in college, and 5 people when we're working stiffs. This was about 13 years ago, and it's making more sense.

Look back, if I could make a generalization, we may have less and less good friends as the years go by. But now... how amazing is it that we can learn about people from all over the country thanks to something like the Polk forum. My pregnant wife has something similar, where she can talk to others that have approximately the same due date as her... other people from all over that have the same concerns, the same fears, the same excitement.

None of us probably would have known diddly about Shane without a forum like this. Hopefully we're all a little better by broadening our experiences and getting to know other people with little slices of what they're about.

    Just a random thought...
