Things you learned from Bourne Ultimatum:

    1. NYPD cruisers don't have airbags.
    2. A book makes a better weapon than a golden vase.
    3. Reporters don't follow direction well.
    a. Jason Bourne is the baddest man on the planet
    5. Wrapping your arm around the passenger seatbelt will prevent any major damage in a smash mouth accident.
    6) seeing jason bourne getting shot while jumping off a ten story roof into a river and live makes me want to try it.
    7) Tricking out on a dirtbike is part of a black ops agent's training...
    8) It's really easy to break into the top secret safe of a high ranking CIA official.
    9. Jumping through windows is a much faster way of avoiding the traffic pile up (which I caused) down below.
    10. Telling the people the people and your talking to on your cell your position is always a kick **** idea even the 2nd time
    11. Using white bedsheets (I guess) to protect your hands from razor sharp glass.
    12. To be the head of Treadston you have to look and sound like a toad
    13. If you cut the fight scene fast enough, the audience won't notice that the actors don't even come close to landing their punches.
    14. You can travel anywhere, as long as you're bad **** and don't remember stuff.
    15. you can get into 20 different varieties of accidents within 5 minutes without your seatbelt on and walk away lookin fresh
    16. If you see a guy drop a bag... THE BOMB IS IN HIS SCOOTER!!!
    17. There's no such thing as a concussion...
    18. You can travel around the World without sleeping and eating.
    19. You can avoid government phone taps by using pre-paid cell phones.
    20. Windowblind style advertisements make great sniping positions.
    21. If you bump into someone, a motorcycle key will appear in your hand.
    22. Somewhere, someone manufactures a fax machine that feeds the pages facing up.
    23. Not only can cars still be hotwired by touching two wires together, but the ignition wires are pre-cut and stripped for ultimate convenience.
24- If you have annoying neighbors in Europe, just call the police, tell them you hear yelling and shooting, and say they are American.
25 If you dye you hair and cut it short it doesnt always mean you will get to screw Jason Bourne
    26. Bourne clearly prefers Google for his mission-critical information needs.
    27. It is standard operating procedure for the CIA to commit all of their resources to capturing one man, and in the process leave their top-secret New York office entirely undefended.
    28) Apparently Motorola RAZR's and Norton Anti-Virus are the technological driving forces behind the CIA's international operations.

Anyone checking it out this weekend? This is my second most anticipated movie of the summer, behind Transformers.

It's getting rave reviews so far, even as far to say that it's the best action movie of the summer, even beating Transformers.

I'm happy to see this! In an age where we're so consumed by Special Effects, this is a welcome change to see something kick **** without all of the computer wizardry.

I'm a huge fan of the first two, so i'll be hitting #3 on Sunday.

    John

Are yoiu kidding me???? Second most anticipated???? uh you mean sequel i hope and even that is a long shot

You got it chief! 2nd most anticipated before I saw any summer movies. Spiderman 2 was good, but as a whole that series just didn't kick my ****, so #3 wasn't so high on my list. Same with Pirates. After #2, I figured they lost the magic of the first one and the series and it was all special effects from there on out.

I loved the Bourne series. I loved the first 2 and had high hopes for #3. It kicked my **** completely. Simply maginificent!

    There ya go!

Ha, interesting. So these three movies are (loosely?) based on The Bourne Legacy and The Bourne Betrayal?

Oh, oh, I got it. The Bourne Ultimatum is the third and last 'Bourne' novel written by Robert Ludlum. Now Lustbader is continuing the trilogy with The Bourne Legacy and The Borune Betrayal. So there's at least two more movies they can do, eh?

I read the Bourne series years ago. Ludlum always wrote some interesting
stuff. Not very factual, but entertaining. Clancy's books are far closer to
    reality.
The movie, while much different than the book, captures the spirit of the book, which was a
whirlwind of action. A man thrown into overload.
The camera technique is meant to capture that confused, unfocused feeling
of stuff coming at you fast. Yes, they overused it. But it does work.
I seldom enjoy movies anymore because of the overuse of special effects.
This one is worth seeing. I do wish they would use a bit of common sense
in him never using anything to hide his look. Nothing like wandering around
3rd world countries looking like a trendy American. Part of Bourne's
training was how to blend in.

I hope to see it this weekend...I could watch the other two on a weekly basis...watched Identity last Monday and am watching Supremacy tonight just to be up to speed. I've had Ultimatim book on my nightstand for about a year and refused to read it because I wanted the movie to be a surprise. I'm not sure there is a movie I have anticipated more....

Feel free to read the books. Having read them, I can tell you that the only similarity is that Bourne has a memory problem. Everything is different. Marie is much more imporant in the books. Conklin is a significant character in the books.

I greatly enjoyed the books, and I enjoy the movies too. Just understand they are completely different stories. In fact you really can't say the movies butcher the books since the stories are so dissimilar. If you really try, you can see some linkage between Identity book and movie, but Supremacy movie takes some ideas from Supremacy and Ulitmatum books, but it also adds some major twists that is not even close to what happens in the books. Like I said, very, very different stories.

Just got back from the theater. 1 REALLY big gripe. The whole camera shaking thing was waaaay overdone.

The reason why I can't say this was a great movie. It was good and worth watching but the whole camera action just made me dizzy and wanting to leave. The chase scenes were also too long, I'd rather see a storyline in its place but I guess chase is much easier to do and doesn't require much imagination.

I sat in the back row at the theater and had no issues with the handheld camera style. I could see how it may be a problem if you're up front. For me, I felt like I was more in the action.

The books are simply amazing. They are worth the read and will keep you rivited if you like the genre. The movies are far different then the books but I feel they made the movies work in a way that still gets Jason Bourne across. 3rd movie was very good. Would recommend it to anyone. Watching it on 3story screen at phoenix theatres was the way to go.

For me, this was the only stupid, distracting thing about Identity and Supremacy. I was not even bothered by the shaking camera. This guy knows the CIA is after him and that his face has been broadcast to law enforcement agencies all over the world, but (in Supremacy) he walks around in all black clothing and no disguise whatsoever. Maybe the amnesia wiped out some of his "blending in" training...and common sense. Maybe he had a death wish.

I loved the movie.. hated, i mean HATED the hand held camera style of cinema-photography. In chase scene's it's acceptable.. not in speaking parts of the movie.. the over the camera shot was so overused in this movie the director should be taken out himself by JB. ;)

Agreed 1,000,000%. They seemed to use it to extreme in this movie. It wasn't that distracting or annoying in the first two movies.

Other than the college film student "experimental" style of photography, the only other thing I found annoying was JB's habit of walking around in public with no type of disguise.

Too simple, thats not JB style.

and how cool would it be having like an active camoflauge where you just push the button and blend in!
