I moved my system around and ended up wanting to try my turntable a little further away from the preamp. I added a 1 foot extention cable. Man, it sounded like crap! Not just a little different. I guess at those .2mv levels even a slight change gets very dramatic. I have a lot more respect for turntable cables now!

The sound was totally incoherent, very congested, noisy, no definition...

Now I need to find some sort of table or something big enough for my turntable, phono pre, phono pre power supply and TT motor power supply. Maybe I'll just remove the couch and chair... :)

Good idea. Some electrons fall off my cables from running downhill.

Electrons.......that's old school. My cables transfer sub atomic particles. They work quite well, because cables don't make a difference:D:p

I always keep my cables running downhill to help the electrons flow, its not generally a problem until I get to the amp because I have to run the cables uphill those last few 8 inches or so to the connection on the back of the amp, so for my next upgrade I am going to dig out the Woodshed floor install a ventilation system and place the amp in the hole, but then what to do with the speaker cables?? It cannot be good to have the speaker cables run uphill can it?? So I guess I will have to build a whole lower level, damm I love upgrades.

The electrons only form the medium for the staff and notes to ride on, they have time, rythym, timbre, frequency and amplitude.

Get the bean bags made from crushed walnut, for rich bass and chocolaty midrange. Avoid bean bags stuffed with buckwheat husks, they add sibilance.

    Kickin' it with the Protons.

Please, please lets not take the cable debate to a sub-atomic level. :p

I can see it already: "Super strings rob your system of sub atomic particles, sending up to half your digital signal into other dimensions! Our patented combination of leptons and other sub atomic particles in our shielding create an extra dimensional barrier as they decay, preventing the loss of valuable positrons and other important atomic particles in the signal path. You will notice a much wider soundstage, fuller low end, liquid mids and highs, and even details that just weren't there before! Only $499.99 per foot, and with a combined half life of over 10 years these cables will give you years worth of aural pleasure!"

I have decided to take my listening to the total next level. PSYCHIC LISTENING. The voices in my head (that I have been hearing for years) are teaching me to bypass the amplification and sound mode entirely. I simply put on a CD or LP into the source and close my eyes...concetrate...and the music comes to me. No need for amps, speakers and most of all cables.

Granted, this is only the first step. The voices tell me that eventually I will be able to simply hold the music storage medium in my hand and hear the music, totally bypassing all reproduction equipment. This will be the purest path possible. I'm just glad that the cable issue will be of no concern anymore.

Do you grasp the sound through alpha or beta neuron receptors? If you do an AB test I bet you cannot tell the difference.

I'm taking it well beyond this level to a much higher Metaphysical plane. I mean really...neuron receptors are just so...basic.

yes, but which soap you use to cleanse the receptor is everything, I will now simply Gestalt the Rig.

I know not what has traveled this path but only that a pulse has passed this way.

Please don't tell me this is "snake oil". I pulled out my 401K and invested it in the company, and I own 2 pairs of Super String Subatomic enhancer/blocker super dimensional superaxial speaker cables. :p:D

When you use cheap crap they dont matter. For everyone else of course they matter. Can change the entire systems sound right away. i have cables that are very very dark sounding, some that are bright. You hear it right away. Try using good cables and see the difference. If not then dont comment on things you dont know about.
