I thought it was usually Tedwick who reeled 'em in?!?
Shack... what are you going to do with this catch? Stuff him and mount him? Or throw him on the grill?
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Below the limit...gotta throw it back and let it grow a little more.

If you weren't so busy trying to hit 25 posts, you might have realized that Shack's comment was just a little tongue in cheek. Perhaps you should take your own advice.

I'm patiently waiting to see what he has to offer up FS. I will admit his posts are on topic and generally his opinions seem to have some foundation, but as always I am suspcious of people who come out of the woodwork with rapid posts.

Funny thin is the same thing could be said about my bro, if I didn't know better, and I know he even has some things to liquidate since getting his new Monarchy stuff. :) Not sure if they will make thier way to the FM or not.

I think I've found a buyer for everything, but if anything falls through I may post some items in the FM.

Now all I need to do is post 10 more "I agree" messages in various threads! :D

Let me tell you now, you don't want to do that. Posting BS to get to 25 is a way of letting those who are familiar with newbies coming and going who's here to sell and run [usually w/bad ju-ju] and who's gonna become a valued member of this forum.

    Your choice.

Easy there Treitz, blakeh is my brother and he is just now posting as he's been a regular lurker here for a few years. My post and his post were meant to be tounge-in-cheek. :D

treitz3: I was kidding -- hence the ':D '. It was meant as a joke. I've been reading this forum for years and know exactly how people feel about "me too" and "I agree" messages just to boost a message count.

    No worries! :)

Yep, he really put me in my place. Based on his admonition I'm going to swap out my all grey patchcords that came in the box for the red and white pair I bought at K-mart. I'll do a DBX test to see which one is better. Then maybe I can comment on cables.

OK. I've finished. One pair of cables sounded really bad. The other sounded worse. So cables REALLY DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Has anyone had experience with the patchcord that has the extra "yellow" connector? An audiophile I know swears that the extra cable absorbs the bad ion sound waves and really improves stuff. He running Bose® cubes with a great big receiver so I really think he knows his audio.

I don't mean to school you here, but everyone knows that the yellow cable is ground. Plug it into the little hole below the two prong openings in your wall outlet and be prepared to be amazed! Music needs to be well grounded or it begins to float away. :D

See this is why I don't use cables, I run everything on 500Mhz, the only time I get crap is when we use the microwave, the phone rings or someone in the area uses their wireless router or when the constuction trucks come by, which doesn't bother me being in a new development and lots of houses going up, you get accustomed to it! ;)

I moved my system around and ended up wanting to try my turntable a little further away from the preamp. I added a 1 foot extention cable. Man, it sounded like crap! Not just a little different. I guess at those .2mv levels even a slight change gets very dramatic. I have a lot more respect for turntable cables now!

Now when you say 1ft extension cable, the new cable was 1 ft longer or you added a foot to the existing cable ?
