I just find it easier to link you guys to my cardomain page rather than post all my pics on here. Besides, theres a lot of pictures, def. not dial up friendly.

Enjoy!

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/531337/9

I should have some kind of audio by the end of the week, projected date of being completely done is December. Then next May I'll be taking out the box and sub amp rack and redoing it for some new subs. :)

Well, I got a good amount of work done today. Amps are mounted and hooked up. I just have to mount the wiring down inside the amp rack to allow for the amp to be moved with the actuators and not catch on anything, thats for tomorrow though. Glad most of the work left is inside the cab, its hot as crap outside and I dont have any shade trees :(

I think you should be a little more thorough. I can't see wasting time by haphazardly throwing a bunch of crap into a vehicle, and then posting pics to show everyone:rolleyes:

J/K I have never ever seen anyone go through an install that meticulously. I got tired just looking at all the work! Shazzam!
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

Well, I wasnt able to get sound last Sunday, forgot a few key things. If were slow at work today, I should be able to have everything ready to where I just come home and hook up the speakers and drop the fuses in.

Also decided I'm going to be running dual alternators for about 200-220A at idle and 550A at 1200RPMs...Good thing is, if I ever lose electricity, I can just hook up my house to my truck and run for at least 2 more days :)

Dang, man. No wonder this install has taken so long. It's perfect! I can't wait to see the end result, either.

That's awesome! You're going to have to come up here and let me listen to it when you're done! :D

Someone using a Mac told me the same thing, just a cardomain page, dont know what the problem could be.

Still no sound, but I dont see anything getting in the way of me having sound before next weekend though. Only midranges and tweeters, but its a start!

All the batteries are hooked up and the fuse blocks are done. That is a HUGE step. Now, I have to hook up the remote wire to one amp, take about 10 minutes, and put fuses in all the fuse blocks and I'll have power to the amps.

To get my midrange and tweeters working, all I have to do is tune my 360.2 to run them active and plug in the speaker wires. I still have a lot more work on the doors before theyll be ready for the midbasses. That this weekends project.

    More pictures coming soon.

Well, of course, I ran into some major problems. Evidently I'm way too hard on RCAs, because there are 3, yes 3, as in the number after 2 but before 4, 3 RCAs that are bad.

The good news is I'm passed the "I'm going to rip all this ****ing **** out and ****ing pawn it off on ebay" stage, so thats good. That was the night before last.

Bad news is I'm not going to be able to compete in our show this weekend and I'm not going to finish before I start school. Since I can rarely work on it while I'm in school, this means I'm not going to get finished until sometime next year with the whole thing...The good thing is I'll have the front stage done sometime within the next few months, hopefully, but the doors will not be done as far as sound deadening goes and I probably wont get to start my box and amp rack again until Christmas break, joy.

For future reference, I will never ever buy RF RCAs again, and I should have stuck with Street Wires, and I will never try to force a 360.2 on a 4-way system, as it is just way too much of a headache.

Good grief dude! I know you like over the top installs, but maybe you shouldve made this one a bit more basic.

Fancy installs are nice and all but if you have to wait 3 years before you can actually listen to it, it might not be worth it.

Its weird, I've done several installs at the shop wayyy more intricate than this and Ive had one slight problem with one, but not anything near this bad. I think any truck I own is automatically jinxed :(

Man, now that would be a real bummer.

I can't believe how much your install has been jinxed and held up. That's a bummer, too.

Just take a breather. It'll get finished.

Well, I figured out today that the output wasnt bad, but now its 8:30 and im out of light so i cant really continue. Tomorrow's plan is to get the new RCAs ran and loomed, then secure all the wiring at the amp rack.

Then, run the wiring for the one midbass in the driver door, put that in (not yet sound deadened though, but itll have to do while im in school and cant work on it) and get that door back on. Then get the rest of the truck cleaned out and get ready for school on monday :( Summer went by too fast.

Cody - you ever use Dynamat Original??

I just ordered 2 39 ft2 bulk packs from Cardomain for $77 each but have had some buddies tell me it doesnt stick very well. Its ok for the floor but not to use it for the doors which is exactly what Im getting it for! Did I just waste $160?

Send it back if you can Mac...I used a bunch of that stuff a while back on my 92 Maxima, and some on my 96 (I still had some left). It is not butyl based, but asphalt based. It stinks, and your buddies are right, it does not stick very well. Surely nowhere near the stickiness of Dynamat Extreme or Second Skin's Damplifier.

For a little more you could get Damplifier, a far superior product.
