Here's some equipment I've had thru the years, thought you might enjoy:
AR9Lsi
Pinnacle Classic Gold Tower
Soundcraftsmen PM-840 (14yrs old in this pic, if you can believe it)
My rack from around 1985'ish or so...
Teac X2000RBL 10" Reel to Reel / Infinity RS-IIIb
I think the CD Player under the Teac is a Technics SLP-1200, but I could be wrong...
The 1st, 4th, 5th pic are scans from old 35mm pics, so the quality isn't too good.

I bet AR9s driven by Soundcraftsmen sounded awesome.Make it Funky!

It did. Talk about non-fatiquing sound...I had the A5002 (shown in pic4) during the AR9's reign. The combination was so smooth, you could push incredible volume levels comfortably.
The A5002 was also mated with a number of others; the Infinty RS-IIIb's, various Polk's, AR98Lsi's, AR58's, Pioneer HPM-100's, the list goes on and on. I ended up selling the A5002 to help fund 2 PM-840's once I found out how power hungry Bose 901's were. Every now & then I catch myself on ebay looking for that ever elusive "mint" condition A5002.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -

Is that a VHS or a Betamax in pic #1?
We had a GE top loading VHS VCR back in the day.Audio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro

They're great amps. Tons of power (always underrated) all the way down to 2 ohms. Soundcraftsmen gear came with a factory test/QC/Spec sheet, each piece was tested for power output. IIRC, the A5002 was advertised as 250 watts/rms @ 8ohms, the one above tested at 283 watts/rms at clipping.
The class "H" design has very smooth/sweet treble, but not the tighest bass around. Very listenable.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
i have a 5002 driving my sda-srs bass section, sounds great. it was driving my infinity 2b's bottom end for 15 years without breaking a sweat. i picked it up for $200 in 1990, mint condiition. the infin were a hard load but the soundcraftsmen had no trouble

Hi Cathy!
The Marantz stack picture in front of my fireplace are the Model 150 tuner, 3800 preamp, and 510M power amp. These were all Marantz's top SS separates in the 70's. The rack also has these units plus a 5025 cassette player and the model 6300 turntable. I still have this system in my garage/workshop (I don't keep any cars in there, just audio stuff, tools, bicycle, etc.) I have the Marantz powering a pair of Polk original Monitor 7's (Peerless). I also have a Model 2230 receiver. The Fisher FM-80 and the McIntosh MR-71 are tube tuners.
Not shown are my Scott and Fisher tube tuners and integrated tube amplifiers. I love the sound vintage equipment!:DCarl -

Cathy, the speakers that I have pictured are the Rogers LS 3/5A. These are the original British 15 ohm model. They are long gone but not forgotten:(

CarlCarl -
