I have the same model purchased right here on CP. the only issue I had was the RCA jacks are junk, the metal sleeves pulled right out. Sent it to Peachtree for service, as they are soldered as a module to the PCB. Careful if you have tight fitting cables. On a side note to these Sonys, the seller stated that these speakers were designed by an ex Polk engineer. Has anyone ever heard of this possible connection with Polk?
No but they are well regarded Sony speakers. At least one person here had them and raved about them.

These were listed at $2000 in 1999. One of the smoothest speaker I've ever heard of, imaging is excellent, good tonal balance and reveals a lot of details without harshness, you can listen to them for hours with no fatigue, very well rounded, rap or classical, placement of speaker is critical, proper height stands required, due to the time alignment design. The cabinet is made of solid wood(ash or teak?), it has three levels of internal bracing, at least 1" thick external enclosure, each speaker weighs 60-70ib. The drivers are Peerless, Xover are higher order with very good components, seal box with time aligned. High power required as they are lower on efficiency.Local pick up only.Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
