No price, so who's knows if it's a deal or not, but just curious what speaker these might be. Looks like socks on top, so presumably an external tweeter.

He and I talked by phone mid-day. I offered to pick them up tomorrow. Worked out final price, cash payment, etc. All agreed. Then, tonight, when I asked for his address, this:

    A scammer methinks.

Yep. Honestly if I got em it was for resell. I offered 450. He countered w 500. I said cool we’ll have klaus take a look while I’m in town and then close the deal. His response: 43l3t97cucdu.jpeg

My spidey senses peaked when he didn’t respond as if he even knew who I was talking about. Then I asked for the addy and he bailed.

Maybe. What a wuss though for accepting a deal, not bothering to actually back out of the deal but instead making some sad excuse.

I'm driving over to Indy on Tuesday to pick up a pair of pimped Stratos monoblocks from Klaus and a couple of Quattro IC's. Maybe I'll call dude and tell him I'm in the neighborhood with three Benjamins burning a hole in my pocket.

Will be interesting to hear if these Odyssey's merit all the praise I'm reading.

Hot damn! One of these days I will visit his shop....

Also you’d want to pick them up PRIOR to seeing Klaus since Racoon lake isn’t really “Indianapolis”..... it’s about an hour outside it toward you...

Brownsburg.... so about 20 mins east of downtown Indy off 74.

And for me Racoon lake is about another hour west. It’s a bit secluded out there too.... not trying to scare you off, just making you aware to find somewhere more busy to meet :) (maybe Rockville Indiana which is about 10 minutes from Racoon Lake).

If you take highway 57 from Champaign south to State road 36 and head east you will run right past it. Then you could stay on 36 and take it to Indy.

No affil. Westinghouse Console Model H-M1740

Nice looking small profile, mid-century modern.

Remember the ad slogan? "You can be sure if it's Westinghouse"

    Sure of what?
