Yes I did. ;) I've read nothing but great reviews for every model of the Tritons. I just lucked out on seeing that speaker base in the ad. I didn't know they would be the ONEs and I had enough money to get the buyer to say OK. :p

I'll bet your SRS's will sound better though! Your power amp and pre-amp are sure to make them sound beautiful!

I would've been just as happy to have gotten a set like you just got for the money. ;)

A mint pr. of these BIG BOY POLKs is kind of rare for sure! You did well too!

Somebody should jump on this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Musical-Surroundings-Phonomena-II-Phono-Preamp/153197977022
    jdzfzdykjyrk.jpg
Musical Surroundings Phonomena II phono preamp, listed for $300, but has 'Make Offer' option...could probably be had for $250. MS phono pre's get good reviews. This model is a bit further down their food chain, but I think original MSRP was about $600. Heck, at the price being offered, it could even make sense as a very decent backup.

@BassFreak101 , don’t you need a phono preamp? This would be a great option.

The stickers were a bit much, but otherwise, I think it was an at least half decent idea.

OK I get that he did work on them but does that make them a different brand just because he put silly stickers on them? NO! He has been taken to task over this and he is still arguing that they are not POLK Monitor 10A speakers. Most of us here have recapped, rewired, re-veneered and other things are they still Polk speakers? YES! Yes they are!!. If I take the badges off a Chevy and put a Dodge badge on it is it a Dodge? H3(( no it is still a Chevy

Those are Polk Monitor 10A speakers plain and simple. He is still using Polks marketing wording for the Monitor 10A's as his own like he came up with all that technology and did the research to get from point A to point B .....

smells like copyright infringement all day.

Same ad on our local CL. Got a chuckle first time I seen it, but now it's annoying!

My daughter's boyfriend lives in Chicago. I just texted her the link and said 'Tell him to go buy this!' I listened to a pair of those ML bookies in a Best Buy Magnolia room, and those little guys were very impressive!

Yeah, the ad has only been up for 21 hrs. if I had the means I would go pick this up after work. This is the second pretty good deal on the Motion 12's that I've seen this year around these parts. i remember listening to these at BestBuy when they first came out.

That ML set has those mini heil tweeters in them and also great all around speaker designs. Then that REL sub to fill the bottom out is worth the asking price also. B)

I hope one of you guys gets this! ;)

Good point, they certainly are Monitor 10A’s. But I meant that it’s cool that he restored them, and rebuilt the entire cabinets.

I'm offering to Venmo the $ to my daughter's boyfriend. He's in SF on business today, but based on the pics and the price, I'm saying go ahead and purchase the set electronically, sight-unseen!
