We lived in Mattoon when I was a kid. An hour down the road from Champaign/Urbana. They had southern accents.
What's wrong with that?

Who said there was anything wrong with that? Just stating the facts. I simply always found it notable that Central Illinois would have a southern accent. And when we lived there they considered themselves part of the south.

Yup. I picked up on that. Drive to south Indiana-Ohio and I feel like I'm back in NC.... -

But they don’t have southern iced tea! (I’m originally from Nawf C’linah...)

Having lived most of my life in Virginia and NC, I was surprised at how southern some of the central IL accents are.
Now if they could only learn to cook barbecue.

Looking for a sub to mate up with 705's? Music? Movies? You will want a more capable unit than that particular Polk unit. I'm sure you are well down the road now but here is some stuff between Toledo and the greater Chi area.Any thoughts on how/if this might complement my lsim-705’s? Don’t know if I could use it with a 2channel amp,
But passing through Toledo today.

Anyone interested in some neat old 8-Track units? One's a Pilot Quad. No Affil. They look in great shape. For your museum, if you're a hoarder (like me)!

This would be a good deal if you could place a single bid right before it ends for $250

YES! The music system I vision for my living room included some large DIY bookies with SB Acoustics Satori drivers, RAAL ribbon tweets driven by a hybrid integrated. The low end supported by a nice SQ sub like the KEF R400b, Rythmik F12, or something rare like the MartinLogan Depth. The Depth gets great feedback. It would all come down to price. At $2195 retail, $900 is better but still a lot given the age. I've seen the original, even older Depth (Not the later 'i' version) in the $350-$500 range.@WLDock that ML Depth I is a very musical sub. Yes you should! Very fine speakers for the money. -
I'm guessing by the condition of the tweeter's dome that it would need to be replaced?
